I love Eddie and would happily have him manage us into his 80s but he needs to hold his hand up today. He got it very very wrong.

The selection of Ibe after 2 years of woeful performances for starters. Im sure the usual defence will come on about how the team were poor. Its funny how many of our great players play poorly when Jordon is in the side. It was 10v11 from an hour before kick off. Eddie cannot keep making the same mistake again and again.

The Smith injury was awful but the game was away from us before then. If anything Daniels brought better balance.

The injuries will be pointed at (quite rightly, any team losing Smith and Lerma will not be as good) but the tactics from the start set us up to lose.
 
Newcastle did their homework and outperformed us by a mile. Wasn't expecting a win but they kept Wilson at bay and deserved their victory. Poor performance from us today. Wouldn't blame it entirely on Eddie though. Who else could he have picked other than Ibe?

They didn't outperform us 2nd half.
They relied on titbits of shoddiness from poor passing by us.
It was one way traffic.
 
i would imagine if it wasnt for injuries ibe would of been off at half time but already using up 2 subs he had to kind of stick with ibe, i think a loan to yeovil in january to help him find his next club should be on the cards

Agreed. Their defending in the second half was better than ours in the first half, despite the circumstances.
 
Ifs and buts Garbo. He was on the pitch because Eddie picked him. So it is his fault. We always play bad when Ibe plays. I wonder why...
