Jack Simpson

Why? Back that up...

He proved last night up against some of the best attackers in the league he can handle it? He’s played a full 90 mins for England U21’s. He’s so composed on the ball even when he doesn’t have time or space. He’s more than ready if needed

To be polite as I can. It would seem that your overall knowledge of the game is somewhat limited.

Yes Simpson is a good prospect with undoubted ability. It the same with all young players in that you cannott play them continuously, all of sudden, in the Premier League with its pace and intensity as you will burn them out. This why, as an example, Rashford is in and out of the side at Man Utd. It was the same when we had Jamie Redknapp with us. He was a tremondous talent but was only used sparingly. If you played Simpson now against Brighton he would no doubt, not let us down, whilst the next game he could be a liability. The premier League is ruthless with what one stands to lose through relegation. This is why it is such a big and calculated risk to field young and inexperienced players in the Premier League.

Was David Brooks ready at the start of the season?

The only way he will have the experience is to give him the experience - if we wait for him to be ready he never will be!

Very true. But at the same time it could, and I stress could, cost us results

Liked the boy since I first saw him in the equivalent fixture last year. Classy indeed. He gives us the opportunity to move Nathan forward into a slot where imo he’s more suited, good as he is at the back. With a fit Tyrone and Cookie alongside we can only have more exciting times ahead.

Stephen Hinto what makes you think you know better than a lot more of our very knowledgeable loyal fans who have seen more AFCB games than you've had Lincolnshire sausages. Please do not make yourself out to be something you are clearly not, please do not respond with your usual claptrap either prove you are a fully qualified coach. There are numerous players who have broken into their respective premiere league teams at a younger age as our Jack so why not him.

And the reason for such a caustic response would be what? Apart from trying to cause trouble. I have answered this point sensibly above. I refer you to it.

Seeing that you have verbally attacked me for no justifable and apparent reason, I would say that your knowledge of the game could be written on the back of a postage stamp and there would still be room to spare.

:ROFLMAO:

Stop worrying about Football!
It's all become Life and Death hasn't it since the football league resumed in 1945.?....after many fans (and players !) died fighting for our freedom over 5 years!

The Brighton game and thereafter a step too far for Simpson? Oooohhhh the drama of it.....

Christ..the things people worry about!

Mind you I've had my moments as a Boscombe fan......
when we were 3-0 down at Man City in 89 ( old 2nd Div)
I left the Maine rd ground with a notion of Chucking myself in the local Ship Canal...changed my mind went back to see Cherries strike 3 late Goals and almost derail Citys promotion....I then talked 40,000 odd City fans out of taking the same path to the canal! They eventually went up that year and we finished 12th!
Then in 90 I was almost suicidal when Leeds put us down....only to live through it and eventually see us leave them behind in the Championship.....since then had death threat from their forum for winding them up. I am still here though......and will be if Simpson ever has a bad game!
It's all fun!

People can't take it if you have a different opinion to them. I agree, playing kids is a risk in the Premier League, young players can also burn out. Michael Owen being a prime example. Managing them when they're young is something that needs to happen so they can continue playing at a high level for years to come. You need to take risks, fortune favours the brave. I think Simpson has earned his chance. If he gets it, it's up to him to grasp it.

Simpson is 22 years old, Jamie Redknapp was 17. Bit of a difference.
Rashford is in and out because Mourinho doesn't know his **************** from his elbow. Lewis Cook is only 21 and has played for 2 years in the PL..

He looked sensational last night. Nathan Ake like performance, if he was right footed Cook would be out of the first 11 in my opinion.

My brother is bigger than your brother - pathetic.
Correct. Perhaps you would go back to the poster 'Fatz' and request an answer as to why he launched a verbal tirade towards me without provocation. You have quoted my reply to him in response. I would ask him myself but a sensible is not very likely.
I have answered sensibly the point about Simpson.

I was at the 4-0 v City last year and thought he did pretty well - until we decided to try and play keep ball in our own area. Surprised he hasn't featured much since.

Marinho may well have a personality defect. In my opinion he is a psychopath. However, to say he does not know his backside from his elbow is somewhat a silly comment. He has managed a number of top clubs and has been successful. He will manage a top club again within six months.

How come he keeps getting sacked then.

So where is your proof that "My knowledge of the game and its workings is far superior to yours. End of conversation". thats what is pathetic - a ridiculous statement like that.
