AFC Bournemouth v Wolves - Back To Football Again

Wolves are about the same in terms of ability but they are still resurgent from promotion and enjoying themselves, on their ride, as did ourselves and Burnley. Only injuries have stopped us being slightly above them in the table. Seems they have got themselves a pretty decent manager too!

What should happen is ; DC as a ' fortress' kicking in as the deciding factor. We have flirted with that asset in some games against mid table and lower...but not enough! We displayed it at its highest level v Chelsea....maximum effort ..but then we knew we had to!
Its a 2-1 for me, or 3-1 in a Fortress!

Imagine Eddie will have to field more than a few questions about the fitness of Brooks, Wilson and Lerma in the build up to this.
The side looks radically different with those 3 in as compared with out.
Eddie's answers will be interesting, and as ever we'll probably need to parse them through the usual Howe fitness soundbite translator.

Interestingly the above picture was on the twitter site on Valentines day and Brooks is there - but i think its been taken off now! He was not shown on the COWS training gallery yesterday.

I thought that picture was from a while back; I'm using Ibe's hair as a timestamp :grinning:. Probably why Brooks is in it.

Having said that, wasn't Wilson supposed to be back in time for the Wolves game? And Brooks was supposed to back around the same time?

Thank f*** we're back to normality.

Clyne---Cook--Ake---Smith
------Lerma----Surman------
Stan--------Ibe--------Fraser
-------------King-------------

Subs: Begovic, Rico, Daniels, Mepham, Gosling, Solanke, Mousset

Should probably wait for more team news. Daniels should be back in contention, though you can't really put an expected date back on personal circumstances. Brooks and Wilson might be available; Stanislas might still be out.

I've seen Wolves put in some excellent performances against the likes of Liverpool and City- against us they were genuinely one of the worst teams I've seen this season, just behind Brighton in the league. But they've also got that Jiminez in top form now. I'd take a decent performance with a draw, but we shouldn't really be losing to this team if we have serious ambitions. Since it's at home, I'm backing us for the win. 2-1.

I've got my hopes up for 6-7 points over the next 4 games, which might be admittedly somewhat rose-tinted, but not that far out of the question if we are healthy. Watched second half of Wolves-Bristol City, Wolves used a full squad, BC held possession through the second half but could not break them down. Wolves did not look particularly quick. Boly clutches and grabs a lot when defending set pieces, hopefully the ref will watch for that and penalize accordingly.
With either Callum or Brooks back, I will stand with your 2-1 win.

Cant be that long ago as Hyndman was in it - when was he recalled?

I think he was recalled beginning of January; it might be from before his Hibernian loan but I doubt it. So this would have been a couple of weeks before his injury I'm guessing??

Simon Hooper is the referee.

Last had him for the home win against West Ham.

Previously the away defeat against Wolves and home League Cup win over Blackburn Rovers.

Both players expected back 9th March according to injury sites.

But Eddie has surprised us before.
