Eddie just announced that as Man City will be in shirts, the cherries will be in skins today.
 
I imagine if it is three at the back it’ll be Brooks, Fraser and King given free roles going forward
 
I think I like the line up as shown on the AFCB Twitter account! Mepham and Simpson at the back, why not? Give them proper protection and they can both defend. We need to stop City just getting on the ball and playing it around, so packing central midfield is what we needed to do. Surman and Ake protecting the central areas. Giving Fraser, Brooks and King the chance to get at them on the break.
 
Agree it looks like 3-4-3 with Smith and Clyne as win backs....nice to have a bit of pace in mf too with Ake......looks good to me.
 
Trying to figure out the line up. Mepham, Simpson and Ake. LWB Daniels, RWB Clyne. Then in midfield looks like Surman and Brooks with Smith roaming? King up top and Fraser more on the left?
 
Smith more on the right. When we don’t have the ball it’s a flat back 5 and then a bank of 4 with King even tucking in.
 
Working hard and staying focused so far ! Can we nick a “parking the bus” point today ? Will be hard to keep this up all game but maybe the longer we hold out the more frustrated City will become ? Hard to see us scoring at the moment though - it’s certainly different !!!

Fantastic. Who cares about possession % - they've only created maybe 2 half-chances, De Bruyne has left the game. They're going to be very frustrated and come out desperate in the second half which could play into our hands.
Tough to see us parking the bus but the long-term strategy is brilliant if it works - conserving energy for later in the game. In the past we've gone out guns blazing, done well, and then faded in the final 20 minutes.
Anything is possible from here on!
