Sorry to harp on Rob but the bigger picture is the club's finances whatever figures are right or wrong. We had 5 years in the Premier League with no apparent physical legacy for the future in the form of a stadium (accepted perhaps an expensive folly) or training ground. We have the short term cushion of the parachute payments, not helped by the impact of Covid, and if we don't make it back this year, not our entitlement just an ambition, we still have an expensive wage bill based on a ground with an 11,000 capacity if filled and there is no guarantee. I hate the word fire sale but no promotion this year others will leave perhaps not for the values in our minds.

It was a club gamble to hold onto King that to my mind didn't come off and cost us money a very precious commodity in football. Whether the gamble on Brook's valuation comes off time will tell.

The days of the buckets at the Winter Gardens will not be enough to save us next time round. Eddie Howe, or the fans, do not deserve that legacy. I sincerely hope I am proved wrong because I want future generations to enjoy what I have enjoyed these past 60 years and more regardless of the division we have found ourselves in.

Adam 0102 from connections in Southampton I know how he is viewed by some of their fans and the comments when he was recently awarded a new contract. We have a long line of failed non scoring forwards in our history so one more won't make much difference. Just looks like a panic throw of the dice to me.

Great news, really pleased for Josh, the best striker to ever pull on a Bournemouth shirt.

The prospect of swapping Tindall for Ancelotti will have him chomping at the bit.

Well done Josh you deserve it.

Extremely odd sentiment for an AFCB supporter. Really pleased for someone that they don't have to be associated with AFCB anymore. Maybe you should start supporting Ancelotti, you deserve it.

Adam back in the day I was slaughtered both in the stands and on the old board when Fletcher scored his one and only hat trick. He was one of my pet hates so I am fully prepared for the flack if Shane Long breaks the habit of a lifetime and becomes a prolific scorer for us or provides lots of assists.

What will be will be.

All ifs and buts. My feeling is that we didnt have the funds to build a sustainable team and infrastructure. I'd rather have had those 5 years than a training ground.

I'm an optimist, and people were predicting a fire sale this year, and saying there would be no incoming players. Hopefully they will all turn out to improve what we already have

And if I knew you I'd have been dishing out the flak :grinning:

One of my favourite days watching AFCB

A good speech but , nah, my opinion differs. He had one good spell scoring 16 goals but the rest has been indifferent. Unfortunately the Man Utd thing last January probably did it for him as a Bournemouth player and I don't think we ever saw true commitment from him afterwards. He contributed to us being relegated and I think everyone was surprised he was still with us at the start of this campaign, including himself. Arguably we playedd better at the start of the season without him but JT seemed to want to shoehorn him in , and why not ,he was meant to be one of our better players after all. Unfortunately all I saw in him this season was half arsed. However, your right that over the years he's been with us he's been a half decent servant and it is a slight shame that he's left scurrying out the back door on a pathetic loan deal to the end of the season. It's a shame we couldnt have got some decent money for him but he didn't do the decent thing for us and sign an extension that would mean we could've commanded a fee for him. He came very close to becoming the Wee Turd 2. We all remember players differently but for me I'm glad he's gone

I don't believe players should have to "do the decent thing" and extend when clubs might not let them go before that extension is up. Few of us would do anything like that for employers so why should our players? He's not a Bournemouth supporter like us so why should he have to tie himself into an extension, especially when his club have form for not letting players go.
