To the AFCB board

I think you will find the success was achieved by the hard work that both EH and JT did on and off the pitch that brought the clubs success. Now both are gone the truth is now exposed and the club and the football world can see how they are rinsing and ruining this club

I'm old enough to remember Waz et al blaming all our problems on Howe. Then it was Tindall. He'd be blaming it all on Woodgate now but he's only just started now it's Blake in the firing line.

The truth is that we've a bunch of players that many seem to rate very highly yet they've been poor under successive managers.

What puzzles me is that Max made a statement at the start of the season about his commitment to achieving a return “back to where we belong” (admittedly he didn’t specifically say the PL, we just assumed that’s what he meant) but there’s very little evidence to suggest that’s a serious commitment given what has happened in a number of respects since that statement.

Soundbites to sell season tickets.

No investment in the squad other than 2 loan signings,a free transfer and Wilsh until end of season.

It sounded as though Max was keen on Tindall and made the call for his appointment. In the circumstances there were potentially some reasons to think that it would work.
Personally I think the biggest thing that is being overlooked is that this team are not good enough to take us straight back up. Given time to gel as a unit, good coaching and a little bit more business then we would be in a lot better situation to get promoted.

Agreed.

To be honest, I think a lot of us expected to go down after one season in the top flight

We got 5 seasons out of it

Plenty of us remember the Benson years

and this is nowhere near as bad at that
In terms of quality on the pitch of course it is but it’s the waste that really galls. What an opportunity we had in our hands. All that money, tv exposure, a brilliant manager, worldwide recognition, all those kids proudly wearing the red and black. All thrown away.

That's rubbish, the club has been trying to reduce the number of season tickets since 2014

Why didn't we stick with JT.look where Barnsley were when we beat them away.they didn't sack their manager when he was going through a sticky patch.we sacked JT for Woodgate who was only here a few days.
Mad stuff IMO

Agreed SDD. It's a shame some fans over react to a ridiculous extent when we lose. Lashing out at anyone and everyone, under the pretence that they are such devout AFCB fans. Blame the board, blame the manager, blame the players by all means. But turning on fellow fans when they question his reasoning shows a lack of restraint and a lack of class.

We should have stuck with Jimmy Quinn. None of this would have happened had we done so.
That's right - think of all the local derbies we could have had if we hadn't let him go - Poppies, Christchurch, Lymington, Brockenhurst, Downton, New Milton, Ringwood etc. Those games would have really kept us all happy and involved.

Just think,we could play our home games at Poppies ground (quite local for our West Howe residents) or on the cricket pitches in Kings Park.

Personally for me there is spilt between the club and the team.
dont any longer give much for the cub and its freeloaders.
but will support the team through everything!
For me it’s the other way round. I think the current team is just a manifestation of what’s happening behind the scenes. There was something ‘good’ about the Eddie Howe era. This lot just stink. I will always support the badge but find it hard to generate any enthusiasm at the moment.

Each to his own, but I’ve have had a massive involvement within the club together with every sponsorship available over the years, but I now have not a lot of respect for the board of the club. However I cannot detach myself from the team and playing staff. It’s still my club.

Remember how the club had all the gear and no idea when Groves was here? Massive money wasted on false maraquee signings in Demouge and Davids.

All so totally clueless and aimless. The first time in its history that the club had a firm financial footing and ability to land some targets rather than trying to hold onto anyone decent for more than 6 months and we were in the relegation zone, playing awful football and heading firmly for League 2.

Eddie dragged everyone at the club up. More likely, Eddie likely covered everyone else's failing and inexperence, perhaps even hindered by them at times.

That we're back with a board of short sighted morons who can't make a decision beyond the next payday shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone. 7 or 8 years ago I wrote a very depressed post about how the club was throwing its greatest opportunity for success and stability under a bus. We've had a good few years in terms of the football and generated some memories but it's equally disappointing to think we became one of the richest clubs in the country and will be exactly where we were having built the square root of **************** all as a legacy. No increase in capacity, no infrastructure improvements, no expansion of the fanbase to bring all the newly-interested youngsters on board.

At the end of this season, we'll have a team playing terribly with a mostly clueless and inexperienced manager playing in front of 1100 fans. Almost exactly the same as before Eddie came back.

It’s funny I was thinking exactly the same thing earlier . Right now feels so much like the Mitchell era when Eddie and Tom were pulling the strings , totally out of their depth and once EH left everything went to sh*t pretty quick ..poor managerial appointments a talented team rudderless ...talk about history repeating itself .

In what way is it gloating to point out the utter failings of the board of directors?

He's a complete prat, up Blake's behind. Deluded enough to think we are happy to be complaining about a phucking useless board and club and we are the enemies for it. That's what's brainwashed people do, blame everyone apart from the source of the problem.
