Arnaut Danjuma

Yes, he'll end up like Josh King if he isn't careful. A dream move is only a dream move if it actually helps you to progress your career. He can ask JK how that's working out for him ! Sometimes you can only progress your career at the right club in the right division. A lot of players seem intent on running before they can walk. He'd do well to improve his all-round play and consistency here first. As others have mentioned, he could very well disappear into obscurity at a big club. Plenty of big clubs would probably have better options than Danjuma on the bench and he wouldn't get as many chances to prove himself as he does here. He needs to improve in many ways before he'd be a regular starter for the big boys IMO. I'm sure some of them would want to buy him, I just don't think he'd make the grade with them and become an indispensable starter for them as he is at the moment. Maybe someday he could be a regular first-teamer with a top club but I wouldn't say he is there yet !

IMO he either stays here and works hard to improve, goes to a top club and gets acquainted with their bench or considers somewhere like Crystal Palace or Saints or Villa to be his "dream move". I think those are his options and my advice to him would be to stay here and make a name for himself, work on his all-round play somewhat under the radar and hope that he eventually becomes good enough to attract a big club and immediately nail down a starting spot with them. Well, if he's genuinely ambitious that is and not just a slave to his agent or his bank balance !

ha, there's absolutely no way whatsoever one the big clubs will be signing him in the near future.

what has he actually done in england apart from the odd decent goal at championship level?

we might as well be talking about mepham signing for one of the big clubs.

He's got Watford,Palace,Brighton etc written all over him.
We were once the lower half Prem club nicking the Champo talent with our TV money, now the boot is on the other foot.

I've just skimmed this thread. My thoughts are he is way too good for us. He must look at that dutch winger at spurs (amongst others) and think I'm as good at him, and I'd tend to agree. His turn of pace & quick feet are quite something.

well he was at psv when Bergwijn was -Danjuma was released to NEC.

Spurs apparently paid twice as much for Bergwijn, compared to us with Danjuma.

I don;t think he can claim to be as good as him based on history and current form.

Danjuma was never anything but anonymous for us in the PL, the Dutch winger you refer to has a number of goals against top level opposition. Far more caps than Danjuma and like said above was kept on at PSV while Danjuma let go. But yes Danjuma is better lol

To be fair, he didn’t say Danjuma was better

If we draw or lose to Middlesboro and the promotion push quickly evaporates...I dread to think what the fallout on the Forum will involve...I think the call from many would be to offload ALL the players.
Any that remained would carry the vitriol of the fans into a further season of plummetting downward.
And as for the remainder of this season, we would be bored rigid as the last 5 or 6 games become virtual friendlies....
If the likes of Danjuma, Lerma, Solanke and Philbill..our pricey imports ..can't put down the rock n roll v Boro and Blackburn ..there will be almighty clashes on these pages between the Forum Elite...the Forum Mafia, the Formation Junkies, the Stats Mob and the Spade Callers like me...I have a shovel too, ready to stoke the fires!

Next season will be preceded by calls for the signing of Demerai Gray....and for someone at Peterboro , Northampton or Swindon with 15 goals and 500 'assists' ..whose uncle runs a pig farm near Dorchester and loves the area !
And of course the inevitable reports and ' recommendations of failed bullfighters on the books of Seville FC who however can turn a quick heel and a delicious Pas de Deux....or a Youth International from Albania that trained for ballet and can run the length of the field balancing the ball on his head. Yeah yeah..its all coming!

Maybe re-igniting the flames, but it's a team game, so you are often only as good as the players around you. Therefore no idea if Danjuma would naturally improve with more quality around him.

I think he is quite similar to Mahrez, so would be a good fit for Leicester initially, could take a similar path, starting with individual ability and growing around better players to demonstrate he is a team player. Not sure it was obvious he would reach the level he did and feature so much for MC, but I would imagine Danjuma has a similar belief in his own abilities.

Danjuma is a bit like a younger Theo Walcott. Give him time to think and he'll probably mess it up. Don't let him think but use his instincts then he's more likely to get things right. I've no idea if he wants out or not, if he does want out and stops trying then sell him on.

Said this for a while, he’s so much better when he hasn’t got time to think and he runs or shoots.

His footballing intelligence seems to be awful and so often just stands there with the ball, tries to cut in on his right, and ends up just running into someone

Oh dear oh dear oh dear...as Barry Chuckle would say.

The Starstruck Forum

The more we bull him up, hype him to heaven...then he will surely get worse.

On the Forum we can have him turning tricks for ' Man City '... or if you like Jupiter Dynamo or Racing Club Saturn....but the immediate task for Our Arnie, away from the Forum Milky Way ..is to massacre Planet Middlesboro next Friday.. floodlit by Venus at the lil ol' Dean Court Launchpad !

Light up the Sky !

You should start a swear box for the words 'the forum'
