Championship rival updates

I think you will make the play-offs with Barnsley and one of us or Brentford.

With Reading and Swansea who play each other soon fighting for the other spot.

We play Reading on Friday night - hopefully we will get 3 points for 2 reasons then!

No, you and Norwich are the two automatics, surely ? Even with their two games in hand, I can't see Brentford catching you.

Assuming Brentford finish 3rd, it would be handy for us to finish 4th or 5th, and so (likely) play Swansea over two legs. I'd fancy our chances there, and then it would probably be Brentford in the final.

I struggle to believe that Swansea will still be in 4th or 5th place come the end of the season. They haven’t scored a goal in their last four matches and there is little to suggest that is going to change anytime soon.

Hopefully- we play them 2nd last game but they have a game in hand too .
 
Norwich and Watford would have to slip up big time not to be the two automatically promoted. Good luck to both of them.

Although it is always better to have the points on the board, than a game in hand, we have a playoff spot without requiring the old "assuming other results to go our way."
 
2 banana skin games coming up to be professional through to set things up. Giving ourselves a shout. Looking like Cardiff's race is run now, so one side from 7th up to miss out.
 
I really really hope to be welcoming you to a premier league fixture at Vic Rd next season, even if you do bang on about that title win. Getting relegated during a pandemic was harsh on us all. If the 3 teams go back up it will almost be like it never happened. Aside from Dirty Leeds will be there.

I hate the idea of meeting you in the playoffs.

After the game with Watford a number of their supporters had resigned themselves to losing to us in the play-offs!
