Arnaut Danjuma

he's a good player, but thats a stretch. Ake is another level in terms of quality imo.
No i don't believe so........I think Arnie has the potential to be a level higher than Ake tbh...................when he plays as a striker of course!

I think we have a good chance of keeping most of our players if we go up. If we don't, he will be first on other clubs' shopping list. Brooks, Lerma, Phil, Bego will all get some attention, and CCV will probably be off too. Lose that lot and our Championship club won't look great, although on the other hand there would be plenty to spend.

The kids are alright tbf.

Dunno, man, it didn't look that way last Saturday.
Well we only threw two of them on in the second half ......both were an improvement on what we started with tbf and quite a few of that U21team that won last night would be fantastic additions to the first team next season.....certainly in the Championship anyway.

By that logic we should be raising Eastleigh for 3 or 4 of their players!

If you look at their peers, the ones who benefited from loans this year, you get a better sense of how many might make the grade at CL, let alone PL. How many of the players out on loan give you confidence that when the U21s get a real run that they will make the grade that we need.

For me Anthony is probably pick of the bunch, and one ,maybe two will be ready next year, but possibly from the ones who have been out on loan. We more likely to raid L1 for out of contract players and maybe see if there is a deal to take the centre half Liverpool shouldn't have bought

I don't think he does, look at his career history compared to Ake's.

opinions of course, neither one of us knows for certain, but Ake played at least 7/10 each (well, most) game at the top level in a defensively vulnerable side for years. Danjuma has a long way to go to match him and I can;t see it ever happening :)

In some ways its a shame Ake went to a top elite club, rather than someone like Arsenal, where I think he'd have played regularly and pushed on to become a top class centre back.

how we managed to hold onto such a technically gifted, composed centre back for so long, I';ve got no idea. Comfortably the best AFCB player of all time imo.

Well by that logic we should be buying a few Wycombe players........we are not doing the talented players among our U21s any real service by sending them out on loan to poor L1 sides with a different way of playing to us.......how many more young players are we going to ruin by doing this?.....if we really believe that they have a future then we should be blooding them in at Championship level next season.......does anyone believe that Jack Wilshere has more to offer than Gavin Kilkenny?.....would we be any worse off this season if we had played Zemura instead of Rico?.................i get the fact that producing young players is rather like panning for gold in that you have to sift through a lot of dirt to spot a nugget but we should be looking after those nuggets more... not chucking them back in the mud!

Well i love both players so i'm happy to respect your opinion......we'll see where they are in another year i suppose.

Said a while back that Arnie needs to start absolutely working his socks off defensively to reach the top level. He's improved on this in the second half of this season but the benchmark is Man City last night... Mahrez, De Bruyne, Foden, etc. all putting an incredible shift in for 90 mins. Same goes for Neymar and Di Maria tbf.

Thats why i mentioned potential .....there are areas of his game that he has to improve ....but he seems to really want to.....i think you have be careful about over emphasising his defensive duties though...yes we want him to put a shift in but if you go to much the other way he isn't in a position to make that run for the goal against Millwall .....although you'd expect our centre forward to be making that run instead tbf.

Sure but De Bruyne, Mahrez, Foden, Di Maria, Neymar all managed to make those runs yesterday whilst working their balls off to keep in strict formation without the ball.

Not that run they didn't.....you'd need Speedy Gonzales to be on the end of a quick kick out from our keeper after being back helping out our full back tbf.

Eh? Did you see City's goals yesterday? Working hard defensively isn't about hanging around the corner flag.

Should get him to watch line of duty so he starts saying “no comment” when asked about future plans.

One of them was yes. The other was scored on a break after defending a corner where Mahrez among others ran the entire length of the pitch to score.
Theres a massive difference between running the length of the pitch and putting the finishing touch to a breakaway than being put clean through from a quick kick from their keeper........if a players starting position isn't advanced then it isn't happening.....doesn't matter if it's Danjuma...Mahrez or Theirry Henry.
