Forest tickets?

Did I miss something? Match only 2 weeks away and zero news on ticket allocation, dates of sale etc.? Anyone know what the hold up is?

Seems to be a common issue with away tickets at all clubs. No one is putting much info out there. E.g Birmingham City first game away to Sheff Utd on 7 August - the away fans tickets were only put on sale 2 days ago !! I am not sure if West Brom have got their allocation for the game a week Friday at our place yet, they hadn't as of 2 days ago.
It doesn't help anyone planning on going or organising overnight stays etc.

I have been wanting to sort Birmingham away and keep checking our ticket site. Unfortunately our tinpot club still offers the option to select 'On Sale Dates' but instead of providing any useful information it states a load of old bollox about the balloting for 2,000 home tickets due to the government!

How difficult would it be for them to delete the irrelevant crap off our website and list the upcoming fixtures with a note advising whatever the actual situation is? They know lots of people will be viewing this stuff so do they really not care how frustrating it is & how unprofessional they look?

Totally. If they're waiting for a government decision or announcement, why not say that and say when they expect to know more. A bit of proactive comms wouldn't go amiss as opposed to just dropping news last minute.

Any government announcement wasn’t going to refer to anything pre Sept as I understand it although both grounds hold 20,000 plus so could be part of this legislation.

I would have thought tickets won’t be a problem. We didn’t sell out any away games in the championship apart from the promotion run in and that was before we had a group of fans who may not want to travel to areas of higher infection.

I am sure tickets won't be a problem but it would be nice to know for those of us planning to stay oop north for a few days and take in both games. As usual the fans are kept in the dark, and we are by no means the only club holding back on away tickets - most are doing it.

We're hoping to go to both, preferably on the Magic Minibus but with the compete lack of news about travel arrangements and tickets availability, I feel it'll remain a hope. I'm sure there's some "coachies" that want the same information.
If we've got to make our own arrangements, we then have to find suitable parking spaces, etc and consider if I drive both trips, whilst keeping the Good Lady in the comfort and style she's accustomed to.
Then on top of that is the "Covid safety conundrum", how much will it detract from the days enjoyment against anytime after the end of September it could flare up and there's no more going to matches for an unspecified time. How much risk is to much risk? : )

If you book any chain hotel and pay the c3quid extra for the flex rate that’s the accommodation issue solved as you can cancel up to the day. Rail and minibus hire is a little harder to do although I’ve sold tickets back on Trainline for a small loss a few times.

Its like holidays and everything these days, just no certainty. Tough.

Stills lot of uncertainty across many aspects eg prem clubs arguing over the need for socially distancing between dressing rooms and whether they still need temporary away facilities. Clubs saying with fans in the ground the latter can’t happen but EPL saying it is needed. Some really basic points still to be agreed!

Make it a bit awkward and last minute, less away fans go - authorities happy.

That's my take on it. In one of those moods today.

Just seen that Reading have only just put tickets on sale for their first game of the season away to Stoke (August 7th)

They received 1,085 tickets - £25 each...
