Non - Boris Johnson

Those of you that read the pandemic thread know I’ve sided with Boris regarding the majority of the handling of the pandemic.

But this Christmas party at Downing Street while the rest of the country couldn’t see family or ended up never seeing family members again. If only we had a stronger opposition leader Boris would probably be half way out the door by now.

What a fool.

Blimey, it has taken you this long to realise that he is an @r$€hole? Get real, the Bullingdon Club blighter was born into a life of privilege and entitlement and he despises little people like you. Now get off of your knees, stop your grovelling and learn a sense of self respect. These f uckers are no better than you despite what school they went to.

Starmer's in a difficult position, politics is very different post Covid.

Boris is Teflon coated as far as the general public are concerned, much like Trump.

I can't for the life of me work out why he is still in office, most of the UK is laughing at him along with the whole of Europe.

Depresses the hell out of me.

I've disliked every Conservative government that I've had to live under and I never thought I'd despise anybody as much as Thatcher; but at least she had views, ideas and principals that she believed in.

Johnson is a weak fool.

I think the general public are sick of him. I doubt there are many Tory voters left who still support him.

Precisely, he's not 'Boris' the loveable buffoon he's a despicable liar who doesn't give a toss about treating the gullible plebs who have fallen for his 'Boris' routine like something he has stepped in.

But to Johnson's followers, it's still not all his fault, it's the leader of the opposition's.

Gotta tell you, many of whom I have gotten to know both on the forum and in DMs or emails ..........

As a lifelong conservative in a North American sense, I have become appalled at what passes for conservative values today. That's not to say that I have any love for the liberal/progressive parties, but my views have changed a lot in the past 5 years. Whether it's gun control, or climate issues, or so many more things, the conservatives have become an embarrassment. My vote is no longer iron clad ... more likely to be spoiled.

All politicians ego's write cheques that their bodies can't cash . They say and promise things that are unrealistic/optimistic to get them voted and then just wing it from there .
This is the only defence people seem to have for johnson.

They know he's a liar, they know the government are incompetent but that claim that "they are all the same"

This allows people to nod sagely, even if they dont know who "they" are or indeed whether they are the same.

The labour party has its faults but I can't imagine for the life of me Kier Starmer lying to us or Yvette Cooper bullying her officials.

When the only defence you have is some vague notion that they are all the same then you know you are in trouble.
