Lewis Cook

Watched half so far, and I feel for Lewis, since he played that game for England it's gone very much against him and he hasn't been able to fulfill his potential consistently here. thankfully he has good family and gf around him and the South African doctor at the club knew how to handle a setback like that for him for a 2nd time.
When you have a real nasty pain (normal people it would be toothache or breaking a bone where you are given anti-biotix or strong painkiller out of necessity because you can't continue without them) then should he really be on just paracetamol after a serious ACL just because he's a sportsman, no and that;s where sports and painkillers often collide because of all the past nonsense with doping and the lack of knowledge to distinguish someone treating an ailment or someone taking something because it gives them a superior advantage. Paracetamol is almost a placebo as much as a painkiller given out over the counter for the minor discomforts a person may have.

Seeing him in the gym with the injury made me realise how brave he is. I almost couldn't watch. At the end when the team were telling Lewis about his stats, it also made me realise how much must go on behind the scenes to help make selection decisions.

Every time he pushed his knee to the next level while still looking like Mike Tyson had pummeled it for 5 hours made me want to cover my eyes. The confidence in the medical advice was amazing.

Got around to watching the documentary yesterday, very interesting. Both as an insight into the life of Lewis Cook and his family, but also more footage of AFCB behind the scenes than I've seen before. The vast array of contraptions in the gym! Give it a watch if you haven't already.

Really interesting documentary and full credit to the media team.

Lewis and pearlo seem to be good mates although that could just be a product of the editing.

Shat myself then when I saw Lewis Cook's thread popping up at the top of the forum randomly. This was much more positive than my first thought I have to say.
Likewise. That's why I can't stand the thread merging. No headlines. I usually think "injury, contract or sold?" when a thread bumps up to the top of the list!
