No chance, he does not have enough pace for AI system of play.

Pull the plug while the situation can still be salvaged

Have to keep AI and the winter transfer window is vital. Need to move on players that do not suit the style of play and hopefully recruit well and in the positions we all know are lacking. I certainly find AI style of football more enjoyable to watch than the 2 previous seasons. Please remember...

Are we capable of playing the Iraola way?

Over the last 15 months our net transfer spending is £180.1 million. The 7th highest in the Premier League. It’s fine that most are young promising players, although some currently do not look good value for the money paid. I wonder how many AI would have chosen if he was with us at the time of...

    Lloyd Kelly

Kelly is the best 1 on 1 defender we have. His distribution is not great but we would be weaker without him. I think it is most unfair how some of supporters give him a hard time, so I anticipate he would welcome a move. Still the boo boys will be happy.

    Everton

Everton will very likely only need 1 point to stay up and will be set up to not concede. Would love to finish with an away win but anticipate 0 - 0 draw.

Let’s get a bit of perspective and not be too critical. We’ve been on a good run, much better than most of us expected. Look at our ‘match up’ against WH. We like to play on the counter and have been poor for very many years defending crosses. Our possession stats for the season are the lowest...

    Post-match thoughts v Brighton

I’m really struggling to enjoy our football at the moment. Under Eddie it was high tempo pass and move, Parker low tempo pass and move, but both possession based. I could accept our current counter attacking style if it was just short term to stay up. But most of new players are head down and...

    Zonal marking

With either man marking or zonal it is madness not to have someone near their man on the edge of the box. Often cleared balls drop there.

    Gavin Kilkenny

It would be a gamble but we’re in the poo so it might be worth a try and recall him. He is sharp, lively and looks to link play. At the moment we can’t play through the thirds. Not many are showing for the ball currently. He may be lightweight but he always looks to get on the ball.

    Manchester United v AFC Bournemouth

Think it’s 541. Mepham, Senesi, Kelly with Smith & Anthony wing backs. Christi, Cook, Lerma, Billing in midfield and Solanke up top.

    Jeremie Boga

We always play best with 4411. Billing as a number 10. Breaking via full back and winger (JZ & JA). Need to establish a successful partnership on the right.

    Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth

We have got nowhere trying to play out from the back. Can’t beat the Chelsea press. Better to go long to Moore. Got to get wide and deliver some crosses.

    West Ham v AFC Bournemouth

As ever big decisions always go the way of bigger clubs. However we did not help ourselves with that dreadful first half performance. JA & JZ need to start on Saturday. Latter stages showed we can play when forced by being behind.

    West Ham v AFC Bournemouth

Why do we look to play the ball backwards every time?
