    Newcastle United v AFC Bournemouth

Agree with your explanation as to the way the laws are applied (I believe you also think it’s a nuts outcome but that’s not the point). For me, the obvious practical outcome in all of this is that, where a defending player (Smith) feels he is in a bit of a trouble because an attacking player...

    Fulham away

Please forgive the “bump” on this one. I’m still after one (or preferably two) spare tickets for Fulham away. Getting at least one extra means my mrs can stand with her best friend and I can be somewhere else in the ground ;) If any become available, please would you PM me? Rest assured...

    Fulham away

If anyone does end up with spares, I’m looking for two more (for a couple of middle-aged non-points holders who want to accompany me).

    Nottingham Forest v AFC Bournemouth

A somewhat harsh second yellow but the ref can be seen to mouth “it was the follow through”, ie the ref thought he was out of control. Meanwhile, I don’t understand why the selected TV commentary team chooses a pundit whose playing career is so closely linked to one of the clubs. This is...

    So… best game ever?

For me, Chelsea away in December 2015 is the notable omission from your list. I’d have that joint first with the result yesterday given the context. They were defending champions; it was our first season in the premier league; Callum had done his ACL injured, we were in the bottom 3; results...

I’d hope PB doesn’t see it that way. He’s a pro and must see how hard Kluivert works. My observation (and I think AI has said as much) is that the 2 wingers and “#10” should be struggling to complete 90 minutes, particularly twice in a week. If they can do 90, they’re not working hard...

    Transport for Wednesday night

Agreed with comments above above walking to / from East Croydon. It’s about 30 mins or so depending on how quickly you walk! Thameslink will be running. It’ll be busy but, as the line serves Gatwick, they are full length trains (and reasonably regular). I’ve messed about with other stations in...

AFC Bournemouth v Aston Villa - Sunday 2 pm

Has anyone heard news about Fredericks? He was named in the squad submitted in August .. and Hill was allowed to go out on loan. So surely it was at least envisaged he would be fit again at some point this season. Is there a projected date? Has there been a set back?

    Lloyd Kelly

Errrrr…. No danger of a pitch invasion from you on Saturday is there? (Obviously you’ll be ignoring the players but will feel driven to cross the length of the pitch from the Ted Mac shaving spotted a bald man in speedos waving something at you from the north stand).

I’d be surprised he’d be allowed to walk off if he’d heard a massive pop or something. Need to watch the replay again but I thought what I saw was an impact injury: Scott swinging his leg for a shot, Rodri coming across and taking the ball … and then Rodri’s knee / leg hitting Scott’s knee.

Not a sensible comment. The incident leading to his injury had nothing whatsoever to do with how many games he’s played. Let’s hope it’s just an impact injury - painful and leading to a nasty bruise, but nothing else.
