Non - Brexit

Bercow pulls a cunning stunt.

A no deal brexit should focus some minds.

Watch all the jiggery pokery suddenly happen on both sides to delay it then some load of shysters will come out smiling saying they saved us all from a 'no deal' followed by two years of limbo.

Correct, with nothing else on the table and if no other decision is taken, a no-deal Brexit happens on the 29th.
And of course every one of the 27 European countries has to agree to any delay. There are a few that seem to be seriously considering voting against an extension.

Lets hope so, tired of this crap now.
But I think the big boys in Europe will be twisting their arms.

Last week the House of Commons had amendments that...

Rejected May’s deal
Rejected No deal
Rejected discussing alternative deals
Rejected second referendum

So none of those can come back to the house for a vote thanks to the Mike Dean of politics.

They can come back for a second vote but not a third.

That’s not what has been stated. May’s deal was fundamentally different the second time around due to the legal changes.

If everything can come forward twice unchanged than the current May deal should be able to come forward again.

Don't really have a problem with what Bercow is doing even though I don't like him much. May and her advisors should have seen this coming. In fact Parliaments code shouldn't allow a second vote on exactly the same proposal. As DJ says Mays plan was seen to have changed since the first submission.

You’re quite right. It can’t come back for a second vote without changes. I apologise. My research was bad.

The thing is we don't really need their permission for an extension, we can get another 2 years just by cancelling article 50 and then triggering it again.

Ultimately the nations that want to vote against it will just be told how much they'll lose every year under a No Deal Brexit and probably back off though.

About 30-40 years ago the Speakers were George Thomas, Bernard Weatherill and Betty Boothroyd, all very honourable, and running the business of the Commons with dignity and impartiality.
Bercow is joining the Mike Dean/ Kevin Friend show and destroying the dignity of his Office' He is a disgrace, no matter what political views you hold

Actually it seems your opinion on him is directly related to your political views - I can't see what the issue is. Even Christopher Chope has praised his Parliamentary decision making in the past - Bercow is one one the most irritating people in politics but he does appear to be right on this issue.

Watch videos of the previous speaker meekly asking for order and having no control to actually appreciate someone who stands up to others no matter who they are.

I think hes great and that's nothing to do with his perceived view on subjects. He almost didn't have a seat when a Dolphin nearly beat him.

Hilarious. You don't like the rules so you want them changed. Meanwhile you think the referendum should stand.

Funny old world innit?

An interesting point. But ignores the fact that only Mays deal and no deal was brought before parliament. The others were requested amendments and as such not motions submitted.
