Jordon Ibe

"Best for all concerned if now I shut my Gob!" as you said several comments back. Wouldn't be a bad idea, Brian.
it won't be all about Brian if he doesn't try and prove that's he right, but if it's Brian going true to form he will now try and convince us that he doesn't think this about depression just like when he defends his casual racism, the blokes a joke

Its about everything .. but not being right or wrong...I'm not imo....rigidly 'right' about anything...or particularly 'wrong'...its only opinion.

Why is there a Forum?

If I ever come to a conclusion anytime that I am in any way ' Racist' or ' casual racist' as you confidently term it( easy words eh ?) I can assure you that I would contemplate taking myself off the Planet( suicide- although tbh i despise that form of departure)

The colour/color of someones skin, Mr Rikki 39...means Zero to me..!

wonder where he'll end up? can't imagine he'll get more than another chance at this level on a good wage. perhaps abroad to one of those leagues that pay over the odds to get the odd player like him.

He’s done. A player with his mentality and clear mental health issues will not be able to cope with a drop down the divisions. He will get a lower league club and then it will end in the same way again.

This is a real shame. He never consistently figured out what quite to do once he got near the 18yd box, but he had such raw talent and there was a brief moment in his second season with us when I thought it was starting to click for him. I hope he's getting the help he needs and finds some relative peace of mind

funny thing was he looked immense when on loan for derby before joining us. direct with an end product. then just appeared to go downhill from there.

This is a good example of someone who has no knowledge or insight into a situation expressing an opinion anyway.

Bit harsh!

Derby

Wayne Rooney kept Derby up by the skin of their teeth last season and although they have been given permission to sign out-of-contract players, the club’s transfer embargo has left them struggling to assemble a squad. With added uncertainty over the club’s future ownership, Rooney’s only aim this campaign will be to preserve the Rams’ Championship status.

Manager: Wayne Rooney

Title odds: 80/1

Relegation odds: 8/11

Key player: Tom Lawrence

Best transfer of the summer: Releasing Jordan Ibe

Blimey, he must have become even worse since he left us.
That is pretty brutal !

EDIT:
As astute as Eddie was, you have to wonder what on earth made him persevere with Ibe for as long as he did. I think he had more patience with and gave more chances to Ibe than just about anybody else who continually didn't quite deliver.
He obviously saw something in Ibe which he didn't see in Tomlin for instance.
Tomlin was clearly a very naturally talented ball player but Eddie quickly decided that he didn't have the attitude to succeed here. Did Jordon somehow bluff his way into convincing EH that he had the right attitude to make the grade ?
I'd personally put Ibe down as one of Eddie's worst misjudgements of character.
A strange one indeed, not sure what EH saw in him. It was clear to most of us that the guy was a bit of a disaster area.

Easy to say now but less so back then, just flick through the early pages of this thread for example.

It was a gamble, no doubt, every transfer is to some extent. If it had worked out, on the back of selling Ritchie it could have been a good bit of business.
