Scott Parker

If and when he comes here......He will have the most pressure on him and expectation that I can remember any Boscombe manager having. Nothing less than promotion it is then.

Definitely, if we're not being moaned at by the rest of the country for joining the New Improved European Super League, I'll consider him a (moderate) failure : )

I would like to be the first to wish Scott Parker the very best at AFCB.
Also his new signings, Kevin McDonald, Alex Teixeira, & Sean Adarkwa

I believe you mistakenly referred to the Perennial European New and Improved Super (league). It's a weird name, I know.

On a more serious note, while I'm not over the moon with Parker's stocks, gotta back the man the hope for the best, UTC!

Well positives, you would like to think Parker would want some assurances before leaving Fulham for us. Got a promotion out of the championship, straight return with an average squad. Completely new blood in, hopefully will shake things up.

Negatives, Fulham supporters don't seem too positive about him. Given they just got relegated then guess that's not surprising. Hard to judge his time at Fulham, how much influence did he have on transfers? Seemed to not have a great relationship with the owners.

Be interesting to see how many players we sell. Given we didn't spend a great deal last season, we are light in a few areas, even without selling, so need some new faces.

Seems pretty much done and dusted then if AFCB are already announcing JW’s departure. I would have preferred us to bend over and do anything to get EH back ( he loves the club remember ) but as expected egos probably got in the way of that being a possibility.
I’ll get behind Parker and hope that he finds an exciting way to play with our squad but if we end up being a poor man’s Fulham I can see the natives getting restless very quickly.
Let’s hope that he comes here with a fresh desire and a fresh approach.
Good luck Mr Parker ( and thanks for giving it a decent go JW !!! ).

Who's saying I won't support him? It's the clubs faffing around that irritate me and their insinuation that it would be resolved weeks ago that grate.

So, I'm not allowed to have an opinion about that?
Ever been involved in a project thats run late? Sometimes things dont always go to plan.

Yeah he loves the club but does he love the board? Possibly where the problem lies. :)

I think people need to get over wanting EH back .
what achieved for us was amazing but the last 18 months of his reign was painful

I think that after his prolonged break we would have had an EH back to his best. On Sky he more or less admitted that he tried to do too much and ended up taking his eye off the ball. I have no doubt that a hungry and refreshed EH with a point to prove would have been the best appointment we could have made. He was definitely close to burnout in that last 18 months with us IMO.
As DJSilver alludes to, I think there are people at the club with whom EH will not contemplate working, hence why a deal was unfortunately never on the cards.

I totally agree . That last 18 months was awful to watch and that post COVID patch he looked ill and burnt out . Like you said we never really know what was said but I don’t think he will be back anytime soon .

I think he would come back but parts of the board would have to leave .

Now if Parker is the choice then we will back him .
This time it looks like the board have had their eye on him for a bit so that is good .we also never know what restraints clubs give managers ie transfers hence the Fulham fans saying about his dull football.

get him all the signed up and we can start preparing to attack this season .

Wonder if EH is done coaching? What I mean is, wonder if he’s looking at general manager, director of football ops, etc type roles. Just thinking out loud.

You can have all the opinions you want but you still come across as 'I can't wait for him to fail' by your original tone.

I just hope that after Parker, they consult you mate for the new manager as it seems an easy process in your eyes, instead of all this 'faffing' around the board are apparently doing.
