Joshua King

Out of interest if you hired a guy to mow your lawn and he took the full pay mowed 75% but then went home because he said he was sick and didn't come back would you say he was "generally good"?

I'm going to have to respectfully say you can't compare a footballer to someone who mows the lawn for a living even if they left 1/4 uncut because anyone can cut the lawn as I did today for instance but I can't play football very well.

Funny you mention this because we are actually in the process of getting someone to mow the lawn:):)

As for your question, it would depend if I had given him the opportunity to mow the lawn properly later and how well he'd mowed the lawn before. Had he generally been a good lawnmower... and also maybe whether I could understand why he'd not come back.

I think I might be better at playing football than mowing the lawn. ;) But, not that good at playing football these days:)

If you go to places like Talbot Woods, Queens Park, Canford Cliffs I've seen people remotely using their own self cutting lawn mower these days, looks weird to a man working on site from modest means.

I just think with Josh he was one of those rare players who could really run at a defender with pace. When his mind was on it he certainly did make a difference. Unfortunately what happened towards the end of his time with AFCB will never help his reputation. For me watching him against Palace in those last few games before relegation did it for me. Hardly got touched and was waving at the bench before he was even on the ground. We needed players like him to stand up and be counted but I’m afraid along with a few more the rest is history. Always hold back from slagging ex players off as it will always come back to haunt us
wasnt the Palace game the one where he was really trying but got badly fouled by Gary Cahill and had to come off injured?

...will probably do okay at Vicarage Road...but not an ex-player that I will care about just like his old mate Fraser...he is not a patch on Nathan Ake and Callum Wilson in terms of class on and off the field IMO...

Just hope that we draw them in the cup and give them a doin' !
