Sam Surridge

Would surely be a record for an academy player. Depending on your viewpoint it's either proof that a new training ground would or would not be a good investment.

Hopefully Saydee, Anthony, etc. will be even more successful.

I don't get the joy at seeing Sam leave. He was/is one of our own and for me he always worked hard and chipped in with a reasonable amount of goals and could have grown in to a really great player. Good luck to him, I hope (and expect) he scores against us.
You hope he scores against us? Seriously? I’m staggered that an actual fan could make a comment like that to be honest.

Not 'joyed' at seeing him go, but I do think the fee is pretty good, and could be used to bring in someone better.

What joy? I haven't seen any, merely a reflection that Stoke seem to be paying well over the odds for someone who's never really made it with us, getting a goal every 250+ minutes and not really threatening Wilson, King or Solanke for the no9 shirt

Chipped in with a reasonable of goals....for us do you mean ? How many 4 or5 ?
Strange for a fan (?) To want someone to score against us.....

Hasn't really had much opportunity with us. Did well with Swansea on loan but was then recalled to hardly play, so hasn't developed as much as he could have. Clearly he wants to go and we're getting a good price for where he is at the moment, so good all round. We can wish him well. Question is: Who is Parker bringing in?

Which grounds have you seen him play at?
FFS...Exeter..Plymouth...Weymouth...Tavistock.. Bristol Rovers ..why does it matter now.. he hasn't cracked it at our crack outfit..that's the point....let's see who does crack.it v WBA and Forest in the next few games eh!
Fair play..I've not seen Surridge in any high end football.. just crap stuff and friendlies (plus I might have been on a few beers) but ..he didn't cost millions like some who only ' cruise' in 5th gear at DC...

Sam wants regular first team football and Scott Parker couldn’t guarantee him that according to SSN.

So good move for all involved.

It matters because your opinion about him isn't based on his football abilities... because you've not seen him play. It therefore lacks credibility.

It's seems to be his choice, but could also be a realisation that the style of play won't suit him under Parker making it harder to breakthrough, whereas Stoke play more to his strengths.

Good deal all around. Also means Parker has more flexibility not necessarily a striker, but can wait until Danjuma goes and instead use this fee for another position.
