Birmingham City v AFC Bournemouth

Great to see players coming back, which we need but Rossi in particular and Anthony have been superb tonight
 
Great defensive performance and two beautifully worked goals. Solanke's goal was absolutely sublime. Anthony's was superbly crafted and so well deserved.
 
Those subs came just in time. They were really starting to put us under the cosh and you can see it solidified things and then Brum looked vulnerable from that moment on.

Kilkenny struggled at times but it's a lot to ask from him. Not terrible but shows he could do with a Pearson/Lerma alongside him.

Zemura was on walkabout a lot and in all sorts of odd positions for a LB. I still can't tell if that was tactical from Parker or his own initiaitive but it certainly confused the heck out of them. Another team might have punished it but it worked tonight. His best game of the three by far and on that showing we may not need another LB.

As I said earlier, Anthony is one of the four wide forwards in the squad this season. No room for argument. Not a youngster getting minutes here and there but a genuine first XI option.

Ibsen Rossi was brilliant. Loved him giving instructions to Junior for the two corners! We even scored from the second of those. Signs of a real leader of the future. Again, should certainly be considered a first XI CB, even if it will likely be fourth choice when everyone's fit.

Feeling relieved that we have some options now. Desperately need one of the RBs back though. Mepham did his best and was solid enough but, understandably, offered zero going forward.

Brooks, Junior and Pearson all now back in the mix for Saturday. Plus, if earlier reports are true, another signing in the offing. Bodes well after what has been a great start to the season.

Solanke's goal was a lot harder than he made it look. Started very wide, used his strength to push the defender back towards goal and then squeezes it in off balance. Wonderful bit of individual brilliance and great vision for the ball over the top from Pearlo.

Yep Parker made the right change's after a shocking first half.....Stan and particularly Pearson made a big difference... Marcondes didn't do enough to keep his place imo.
 
I make our record against BCFC at St Andrews:- 9 wins (1 x FAC and 2 x LC), 3 draws and no defeats, plus a win v Coventry. Fantastic, Must go, time to e-mail a Blues fan
 
Great win for our young guns. I must admit I was depressed seeing us sell a priceless player like Arnie so cheap but we have to keep going that's all we can do innit.
