Hull City v AFC Bournemouth

Due to a beer famine in fookin Chez Old Cherry due to a Covid scare..I is curled up now with a running influx of missuses weakish coffee and a couple of books....classics..from .Steinbeck ( Cannery Row ; so funny and sociological, I've read it countless times ) - John is my favourite author (along with Conrad )and i'm trying out Ford Maddox Ford's..' The Good Soldier ( bizarre but amazing writing)...I can devour two books at a time..but sometimes get sh*t mixed up. .haha !
...but f√ck all that for a minute.. half my brain is dedicated to Boscombe Football... so I wanna say..look...in the event that we remain ( and we most definitlely ARE without that New Stadium)...Tinpot. then ffs ..where we are in the Table after today's draw in the large city of Kingston-upon Hull..and after wins at NF and Birmingham cities...then it ain't so bad...certainly not warranting some of the Non-Old Cherry Shite ..that will come through the cybersphere over the next few hours regarding our progress under Mr Parker.

0-0 draws inspire me to Rant....such is the.. ...Oh ffs that's enough for now.

I was responding to the fact that Waza suggested that these utterly clueless performances were down to those players missing.....please try and think before you post..

Just so my feeble brain understands your position and what "million miles" means....I assumed your point was that this time last season even without those two players, our performances were a "million miles" from that performance today. Thats what I assumed you meant when you posted...

"This time last year we had just humped Coventry without Danjuma or Stan.....we are a million miles from that standard. "

Because obviously the team last year in the 5th match of the season, at home, with Dan and Stan were clearly worse ,so Im really struggling with your point?

The clueless performances are mostly down to the fact that we are selling our best players and replacing them with kids. Btw our best player against Cov last season was L Cook, he ran the show. Not available to Parker yet.
Dan Gosling had a large part to play tbf....are you going to suggest that we don't have better options now?...... Lewis Cook gives us control in midfield in the same way Surman did.....that's not our problem though... creating chances is.... Lewis isn't going to help with that.

Lol only you mentioned the 5th match if the season.....

Gosling was also very good that day. The front two of Surridge and Solanke worked well too. We played well that day, but it was one of the very rare occasions we did under JT

Not good enough. Squad has been dismantled and barely a penny spent on reinforcements. Fed up of this talk about promotion coming out of the club. You will not get promoted operating like this. We’ve sold a 17 goal wide man and replaced him with a 19 year old winger on loan who has never played at this level. It’s all good talking about a project but when you are signing/looking to sign mainly loans then what exactly are we building? With two years left on their contracts it is certain that Solanke, Billing, Brooks, Stacy, Mepham and Kelly will be sold next summer. L cook and S Cook out of contract. Loan players will return. We are going to be left with just the under 23s along with Pearson, Marcondes, Smith and Stanislas next summer. With the club not prepared to spend a penny on transfers we are going to have to rebuild an entire squad with loans and frees. I’m sure I’ll get labelled a bed wetter but you can see this coming a mile away. There is a need to get promoted this season or else we are going to drop like a stone.
Here we go again. Whinge, negativity, whinge and more negativity, rarely any positivity, it does get tiresome.

Anyway, Danjuma was an unknown and yet you’ve already written off Rogers; you bleat on about this season and yet you’re worried about next summer; you’ve assumed for some reason that loan players will return and yet we have options to buy; you make a statement about the club not prepared to spend money, this without really knowing anything whilst it is universally known that many clubs are struggling to strengthen their squads (for all the reasons that should be obvious) and to cap it all the unwelcome histrionics are back…we’re going to drop like a stone if we don’t get promoted.

All this and we’re just five games into the season, sitting in the top six and we still have players to come back. God there are times when I really wish we were back in League Two.

You compared to this time last year? Its the 5th match of the season. If you are talking about this time last calendar year then we were in preseason?

Its ok to admit you are wrong sometimes...
If I'd had said 'at the start of last season' would it have helped you grasp the point I was making to Waza?.....you'd have probably just started banging on about our 1st game of the season tbf....:grinning:
I'll try again....I was responding to a post by Waza that suggested our poor form was due to players missing... namely Danjuma ...Stan and Cook.....are you following me so far hun.
I said that the Coventry game was 'this time last year because I remembered that it was early in the season and Danjuma and Stan didn't play.....unlike you I really couldn't be bothered to look up what game it was because..... A. I'm not that sad and B...it wasn't important.

Hth.

Ah I get it now. You didn't mean this time last season, you meant one game from last season that we won. Got you...glad that's cleared up.

Oh fck off.....you've got a manager just as sh1te as ours......you've just bought the championship as usual.

Shite as Parker -

Come back to reality soon, Topfarrier; I'm sure your family miss you terribly.

But my certifiably insane friend here is half-right. Parker is crap. I'm not here to troll. I had two plus seasons of it, and Parkerball sucked the life out of me. He's like a footballing Count Dracula. With cardigans and nice hair. And as I am an empathetic human being, I couldn't in good conscience fail to warn you.

The man is a managerial myth. His football sucks. His head is so clearly empty. The best case scenario for you down there is a season of crap football ending in a play-off position, and then securing victory via more crap football, as we did against Brentford. And then more crap football in the Premier League. Then relegation.

And eventually, the sadder members of your fanbase will migrate to opposing forums to warn them of the tedious terror to come.

Think me a t*** if you want, but I'm so right ;)
