I don't know anything about media regulation in the USA - constitutional governed? - but I assume or certainly hope that Ofcom will be monitoring the new channel to ensure compliance with the Broadcasting Code Section 5 'To ensure that news, in whatever form, is reported with due accuracy and presented with due impartiality. " It applies to Sky, ITV and BBC so should apply to any media outlet that purports to be a .news channel'.

Presumably it's been set up in the long term to offset any right wing newspapers losing circulation figures etc? As in the long term they will start declining - either side of the political divide.

It all about 'getting the word' out there isn't it.
 
From the little bit I saw of GB News it didn’t inspire to want to return.


Fresh doubt has been cast over Andrew Neil’s continued involvement in GB News as it emerged he will not be making his expected return next week to work at the station he founded.

Amid frayed relations between Neil and executives running the station, the former Sky anchor Colin Brazier said on Twitter on Friday that he would once again be in the presenting chair of his colleague’s show on Monday.

The continued absence of Neil – who is also chairman of GB News – comes as the station is planning for a relaunch, which is likely to differ from his original vision.

Andrew Neil...brilliant at what he does...made a fool of so many fools and self publicising tossers... Farage was just one.
..Neil would excite me with his probing... and seeing some of those in the chair opposite whither and cringe and die.

The hour with Farage has been excellent, some great interviews with the likes of Geoffrey Boycott, I’ve quite enjoyed it, certainly not everyone’s taste, but so refreshing not making every segment politicaly correct!

MSM is just a propaganda stream for the government any how.

Someone who would leave refugees to die in the Channel talking to a failed captain and convicted assaulter, good taste.
 
it justs how different we all are.... and how we have to somehow respect those differences. (bloody hard work)

I watched farage in some sort of mock pub situation interviewing roger hallam. humans.... no hope!

Get all those brave Afghan men to the West. They bravely left behind their wives and children to suffer or die from the Taliban and ISIS. We need these cowards they would be model citizens to look up too.
