AFC Bournemouth v Barnsley

Seems like they will be dishing out some hard tackles.
Hot stat: Going into this round of fixtures, Bournemouth are joint-bottom for the number of Championship yellow cards (three), whilst Barnsley are ranked joint-second (14).
They certainly will.... against Coventry no less than 5 Barnsley players got yellow cards for fouls on Callum O'Hare!...that must be some sort of record..... they were literally doing anything they could to stop him playing....I wonder what player of ours they'll pick out for special treatment?

It’s at times like these that I really miss having Ryan Fraser in the squad ! ;)

This reminded me of John Bailey having wound up the entire Preston team. I lost count of the number of bookings for fouls on him in the last 30 mins, but I suspect it was at least 4. We 'stole' a 1-0 win too, if my memory holds (that was a heavy cider-drinking day).

is stanislas available or out for a while - sorry if mentioned before, cant recall.
Well if Barnsley have a reputation for kicking players about, I think we should send Stanislas somewhere safe and as far away from DC as possible :p

Hope it's not Brooks, we'll never see him again.

Would also like to see Brooks drop out to make room for Lowe or Rogers. For how long does he have to be poor before giving another player a chance? Shouldn’t still be getting picked because he was good for a bit in 2018.

Don't think Brooks has been that bad in the circumstances...the only game I thought he was poor in was Hull.. .....obviously had no help from his full back yet has scored against Forest and really should have had two superb assists against Blackpool .... putting a chance on a plate for Billing after some classic wing play and a beautiful through ball that Solanke should have stuck away......I think it's worth seeing how he gets on now that Stacey and Smith are back.

You can’t really criticise Parker for being too negative if you’re going to propose that as a midfield three. Pearson and Jeff at number eight. This would leave Solanke totally isolated.

It's going to be a physical game....at least with Lerma and Pearson we will actually have a press which up to now with Billing and Marcondes has been laughable.
Fwiw if I had my way we'd play 4231 with Lerma and Pearson but we're not going to..... Scotty will stick to his system that won't look exciting no matter who we play in midfield.

Whatever the line - up...hopefully those in it Sat'dy will see the game as the most important in our ongoing History...the points being critical in the quest to be still in touch with the leading group..ooof its a big big one Batman...bigger than a prize bulls bollix !

I would go with…

Travers
Stacey
Cahill
Kelly
Zemura
Lerma
Christie
Billing
Brooks
Solanke
Rogers

Harsh on Anthony and Kilkenny but games come thick and fast so there will be plenty of games.

Have seen criticism in the past of new signings having ‘to learn the Bournemouth way’ and not getting much of a chance initially, so let’s see what they are like from the off - especially the high profile signings!

Good thing about all these options is we will all pretty much have a different view on the team line ups!
