AFC Bournemouth v Barnsley

What a confident performance in the second half.
* Cahill impressive in his debut, especially when needed in the first half.
* Brooks, Anthony and Smith very bright.
* Zemura fantastic.
* Goal for Dom.
* Clean sheet.
West Brom and Fulham drop points .......... bonus.

A very good day, and expectations glowing for Tuesday.

Cahill makes the simple things look easy, which is good for us. It might mean Cookie doesn't see much action unfortunately, but hopefully we'll always have one of those in.

What can you say about Zemura, player of the season so far.

We kept our foot to the pedal today and learned a lesson from that Blackpool game. Could have been 5 or 6.

Onto the next one.

Trying to work out why Lerma was booked at the end. Only thing I can think of was for unsporting behavior if the ref thought he was play-acting.

Good to see a home win at Dean Court first game back.

Cahill seems so confident and assured in defence, read the game well and will be an asset.

Good to see our younger players ‘in the flesh’, deserved their places in the team and Zemura was outstanding.

Two well taken goals, the second one was real class the way he waltzed through their defence and put the ball in the net.

He'd got away with two others that could have been bookings so might simply be a small offence (he pushed the keeper) that tipped him over.

I sat in the family stand today and it was interesting to see all the different coaches being vocal and getting involved from the touchlines at various points. Collectively they were probably more vocal then Scott Parker over the 90 mins.
Seems the staff have really taken ownership of some compartmentalised responsibilities. Gary O Neill for attacking set pieces and I think the GK coach on defensive set pieces? I don't know if that was the case under Eddie, JT or JW but it was interesting to see it up close for a change.

Heavy duty caveats here in that he didn't face an on target shot and it may be wishful thinking on my part but Trav looked much more confident and composed today.

I'm hoping that he is growing into the job with more first team games and I'll have to eat my words re needing a new keeper.

It seems that Scott Parker may know a little bit more about football than me.

Their keeper was exceptionally poor, not just with the mistakes but his distribution was woeful. I thought as he was number 40 perhaps he was well done the pecking order normally but then I remembered Travers is 42
