AFC Bournemouth v Queens Park Rangers

From the half-way line both ends could be heard clearly. I thought there was a great atmosphere, more reminiscent of the end-of-season rather than the start.

Just need a rail-seat section now and offer those to fans who want to be a bit more robust!

They sang "You're just a Chelsea reject" to Solanke, good to see him cupping his ear at them when he scored.

They sang Chelsea reject at Dom and Cahill and I reckon it's one of the most cringeworthy chants I've heard. What point are they trying to make? You could understand Chelsea fans singing it but to give someone grief because they are no longer good enough to get in your rivals team is weird. Especially when those rivals are levels above your club and don't really give a toss about you.

Yeah, but sweet when he scored!

After being locked down for so long last night was pure magic, a truly great night out but.............................................how can people get up and leave with 5 minutes to go? FFS what is the matter with you?

100%. If it was 3 or 4 nil I can understand, up to a point, but this could have gone any way.

Worse than the empty seats.

We must have one of the weirdest crowds north of Santiago..
..some have said how quiet the Main Stand is...but right back in the mid 60s ...that always puzzled and annoyed me...it has always been, apart from some isolated games about the least vociferous and rowdy of all 92 league clubs.
Dad took me in the main stand a couple of times for Div 3 games....so quiet and dull..and always for Reserve games if we attended those.
...I remember, later during the Bond Era . on my one and only main stand visit during those years...a posh old boy..saying to me at the end .." If you come back in here - please leave your atrocious mouth at home ..I have never heard anything so blatantly disgusting "...... but all I did was encourage the Cherries to attack...and bawl out Bristol Rovers when they fouled us !

Surely all main stands are quiet.

The match was won in the final minutes. We were strong in defence although a little scrappy at times and Travers was making several good saves. Previously we might have rolled over and conceded in the final minutes but despite Stroud's best efforts we stood up to the onslaught. Well done!

One of the loudest chants ever to come out of the Southend was in that era.
F OFF VILLA. Repeated around 10 times. God knows what Mr. Posh would have made of that.

Obviously Main stands are quieter than the ends... although I've been in a couple of main stands in past decades that were incredibly loud...Sunderland, Hull City, Partick Thistle and Everton...there are probably quite a few others...but of course time, has I guess, altered things..with stewarding and 'social themes' for want of a better expression !

Fair enough. As an aside, on the few occasions I've been to Goodison Park I thought the whole place was as quiet as a mouse. They scored six in one of these games too. Very disappointing as I'd thought it would be the more lively of the Liverpool clubs.

There are a fair few in the MS, who will offer advice to the officials, shout at random moments and do other things, such as written above.

Never, in 15+ years in the MS, have I been told to sit down, shut up etc. I sit just below Max's Box.
