Nathan Ake

Again overlooked today for an ageing midfielder leaving at the end of the season to play CB…
With us in need of a CB next season, and depending on what ‘deal’ Liverpool want for Phillips, do we reckon there is any chance of a loan to us next season?! Reckon Eddie with be very interested to take him to Newcastle. Would be pretty perfect.

no chance he'll take a step or 2 back and rejoin us. would be perfect signing for toon though, great move for him and newcastle imo.

I think Nathan has been carrying an injury the last few games. Certainly he wasn't fit last week for the West Ham game.
I was delighted he has his winners' medal. He has been an invaluable member of the City Squad this year.
2nd winners medal with City and bonuses.
He was also given a medal when Chelsea won the title although he only played one game.

Sky in Italy have already reported Chelsea's interest in Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.

The West Londoners are yet to do business as they rearrange their recruitment structure, with Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech leaving the club.

Last week, Sky Sports News reported that former Liverpool technical director Michael Edwards is expected to be approached by new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly over a potential role at the club.

Sell Ake to Bournemouth, who then repeatedly beat you.
Spend years sat on a cut price buyback clause whilst churning through lesser defenders.
Re-sign Ake after he's since moved to one of the richest clubs in the world.
Genius from Chelsea!

He got a fair few games at city last year. Pep has a rotation policy so he’s never going to start every game. Laporte is ahead of him too.

Thought he may end up at Newcastle if anywhere.

It’s crazy isn’t it. Already done it with Lukaku, who’s next, De Bruyne, Salah?

From what little I’ve read in the papers, their new American owner is intending to be hands on in deciding and closing their transfer deals. You can imagine the over priced dross they’ll end up with. For that reason I can’t see them making as sensible a buy as Ake.
