Along with Ray Bumstead Jim was my boyhood sporting hero. Living so far away from that London, to see him play live was just a dream. Maybe we’ll get through to the 3rd round I used to think, and get drawn at home to Spurs. Eventually, 1965 maybe, my best mate Rob, a Utd. fan, and I had a day trip to the City, queued up for around 2 hours and got in to see that wonder goal in a 5-1 Spurs thrashing.
Etched in my memory. RIP sir.
Why not put this in the Tony Scott thread ?AFC Bournemouth are mourning the loss of former player Tony Scott, a member of the club's first promotion in 1970/71, who passed away earlier this week.
Because I couldn't find it, I posted a Tony Scott thread yesterday but it got deleted. Why not put this in the Tony Scott thread ?
