    My dad…

My condolences to you and your family, Neil. That was a lovely tribute.

Oooh, not at all. It did feel quite different 10-15 years ago but that all seems to have gone out of the window. Your regular family car has now gotten so powerful that I'm routinely cut off/shoved out the way of by a something like recent Accord Sport or a Camry and I drive a WRX, albeit a 17...

Sorry, not buying this, but maybe that's because of where I live. In NY literally everyone has bad intentions! My recent favourite was pulling over for a pickup truck that apparently had police lights flashing only to realise they were just a modification made to look like police lights and that...

A sign of my advancing years but I am bloody sick of people driving like twats. Not only incredibly dangerous but selfish and so, to my shame, I welcome this endeavour.

Norris and Russell are the real deal, no doubt.

Yeah he's just a dick with a massive chip on his shoulder. He'd do well to remember the massive advantage his background handed him compared to Hamilton's. Lewis isn't perfect by any means but he's much more grounded than pretty much anyone else considered to be the pinnacle of his sport.

Fcuk Verstappen. He's a gobby little spoiled twot. Sorry for the language, he's just extremely unlikeable.

Nowhere near as close but Ivanisevic, near the end of his career and down on his luck, winning Wimbledon in 2001 as a wildcard entry is the last time I can remember something comparable in tennis. His match vs Rafter was a true classic.

    Gary Cahill next in

I must admit it did seem strange when Cahill finished up in the winning side in a Bournemouth match.

Yes... don't apologise Klaus, this is very insightful.

Yeah back to the thread, that really was imperious. Raducanu was like the Terminator out there tonight. No matter what happens in the final, she can take great pride in what she's achieved this tournament.

The only person who rocks up to the Republic of Ireland and insists they are a part of the British Isles ends up with a LOT of urine in his cornflakes, pure and simple.

By that logic my dad, who came here when he was 20 and has only lived in England, would go mental for Scotland, Ireland et al in the major tournaments, yet somehow he does not.

tbh I think they'll be grateful you spent the time to keep them so close their cultural and ancestral heritage...and for that EU passport!!

Hahaha. God don't get me started. I have a friend who I increasingly see as rather dim. He's about 100k USD up on an NFT he bought a few months ago and he thinks the whole thing is a magical money tree that's going to make everyone rich rich RICH!!! I mean, he's dim for thinking that, not for...

Love this. Clearly I am no economist but surely common sense dictates that endless growth has a finite point - i.e. too many of us and nothing left to exploit.
