    Watering the pitch

https://www.sportbible.com/football/football-news/man-utd/man-utd-bournemouth-premier-league-164965-20240413 It seems a story out of nothing, the reference to a swimming pool and the ball sticking doesn't seem rooted in any reality

    Who are the real fans?

https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2024/mar/19/cultural-division-true-football-fans-plastics This is a really interesting piece. It shows how things are changing and the way that I believe our owners aspire to. The final paragraphs sum it up for me. (PS I haven't put 'non' as I think...

    Stewards?

Chatting to one of the 'stewards' at the game Tuesday. He called it a security job not a stewarding one. Interesting difference.

    Time added on

So, a strange end to the game yesterday. Whistle on the dot at 90 minutes. Why? There was a trainer on for Hill and I think once for a Swansea player. There were 7 substitutions. I wasn't aware that a ref could just not play any added time. Anyone know anything about this?

    Peak Boscombe.

This is my 57th season and I know many others on here have been around for a long time too. It's always a pleasure to be a fan. Great days can happen in the midst of bad times. Awful days out results-wise rescued because of the journey, the pub, the mates. But every so often something very...

    Non: you are the ref.

If a goalie gets sent off in a penalty shoot out can the team use another keeper? Also, are yellow cards carried into the shoot out? Watching Villa and thinking that their keeper could easily have been booked for his World Cup final antics in the shoot out. If he was and had already received a...

    Non. RIP Simon Emmerson

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2023/mar/23/simon-emmerson-obituary I just found out he died last March. An unsung musical hero. He produced Eden by EBTG and was responsible for 3 bands I adored, Working Week (where he was listed as Simon Booth), Afro Celt Sound System and The Imagined...
