    Brighton

We're piling the pressure on ourselves by then though. Won't be anything like as easy as some think when our confidence is shot to pieces.

    Joshua King

Aren't we alleged to have quoted Spurs £40 million this summer ? Since then he has signed a new contract. Now he worth £20 million apparently :yikes: :hihi:

3 points thrown away. Will probably come back to bite us.

    I loved the series V - time to do a reboot !

    Based on this evening...

It was - mainly down to Daniels. Pugh was slow, ponderous and could barely beat his man. The crossing from all of them was appalling.

    Based on this evening...

Someone has to start. Fraser has done the square root of feck all this season. Pugh has barely done any more. Therefore surely it is time to look at other options ?

    Other PL Games Today

Away win definitely best for us. Palace have horrendous fixtures coming up as well.

    Brighton's Defensive Set Up

Is it just me or is thins something we should be looking to do for much of the time - certainly in away games ? Keep the shape and look to attack on the counter would seem to suit us and our forward players down to the ground.

Match Report and MOM v Brighton....

Think Neville and Carragher hit the nail on the head with identifying our issues. We're fine and work the ball out wide really well but there was a total lack of movement from either King or Defoe to come towards the ball and to get to the edges of the box or near post for the ball to be fed...

Match Report and MOM v Brighton....

Surman was outstanding last night - definitely my MOM and imo deserved more than a 7. Good to see his passion and geeing the crowd up after he scored as well.

    Defending set pieces

10 players did it fine - Francis was at fault for both of them for losing his man each time. The real issue through the whole team is I feel there is a lack of aggression - both with and without the ball. For defending set pieces, we are not strong wnough to knock players off balance and...

    If you don't shoot

If you are not confident, you won't shoot. Confidence is (and hopefully was) the problem for several players.

    AFC Bournemouth v Brighton

A hard watch so far. Tempo far too slow again. Arter once again the weak link in midfield. Players appear too scared to take a chance. Josh King looks lost not playing in the no. 9 role. Crossing has been appalling, I mean truly unbelievably, shockingly appalling.

Four games, four defeats, one goal and central problem

Exactly this. He has always been the player who creates the assist if that makes sense. Not only was he our best midfielder last season, he made the other midfielders play with so much more confidence and their games probably lifted about 10-15%.

Four games, four defeats, one goal and central problem

We needed a replacement for Wilshere anyway. We were down to the bare bones in central midfield at the end of last season.
