Adrien Truffert

We don’t go balls out at the start of the Half ? We made like for like subs apart from cook and diakite.
The only like for like change we made at half time was Eva for Kroupi.....we brought on Brooks and Kluivert for Diakite and Smith!

One of our fans on another forum recently said Truffert was better than Kerkez. Not sure what they were smoking? Feel our forwards are not getting enough service and this is partly down the Truffert's lack of crossing ability. He needs to get more balls into the box.

I actually would rather he didn't bother going forward.....play him like we did Smithy last season....stay back and allow Jimenez to really push up on the other side.....all our attacking threat came down the left last season don't see any reason why it can't come down the right this season.

Fair point.

So out of the three subs we made only 1 player in the 11 was playing out of position and that was cook like I said previously

Except Jimenez didn't play as a right back....he still played as a winger which meant we had a back three of Cook ..Senesi and Truffert.
Jimenez was head and shoulders our best player and the only one who looked like creating something.

That was later on in the game not when the subs were made originally

I thought he was poor first half, him and Smith on the right didnt work. Was much better when Brooks came on

Truffert is good going forwards.... do a google on it, hes known for good attacking play, linkup and decent crossing ability. Perhaps instructions are not to cross it here.

He does cross it Telly that's the problem ....he's rubbish at it....he gets into so many good positions and his cross never beats the first defender.....19 games in now and he has 1 assist which was a 2 yard pass to Semenyo....I don't need Google to see that his end product is cr@p.

There's "known for" and witnessed. He's solid defensively (except last few games esp. Man United and Brentford) but as TF says, his crossing has in general been poor and I don't remember him often, if ever, doing the overlapping runs to the byline for pull backs which Kerkez was so effective at in the same system. Don't get me wrong, he's decent value at under 15m, but I think we're less effective aa a team down the left than we were with Kerkez last season.

Smithy is definitely solid, but potentially on the decline.

Truffert is looking a little bit wobbly.

Diakite and Senesi have the same understanding as a prepubescent boy with his mum.

At this stage, any opposition team can pick any area of the pitch as a weakness defensively across our back line.

It's carte blanche for our opposition at present to attack us at will, as we have weakness across the entire back line.
