AFC Bournemouth v Cardiff City

His failure to track the runner created the qpr winner.

Stanislas has technique takes a good penalty, scores the occasional free kick. He wastes most free kicks and corners. He doesn't go past people when played wide so really best played centrally. A luxury player like danjuma and Brooks, who many can be played at the same time?

Lol an attack minded player doesn't track his runner when being played in a role thats compleatly alien to him during the period of the game where he has been pushed further forward !

4-2-3-1 it is then! With our embarrassment of riches in central midfield it’s probably our best system, so perhaps we can give it a good go.
Think from what I have read it’s Mick McCarthy’s man management that has made the big difference.

If you can send a team out onto the pitch who all believe in themselves you are on to a winner, being confident in yourself is so crucial for footballers and in every day life as well.

His appointment at the time wasn’t accepted with open arms by their fans and after seven games they may have changed their minds, but McCarthy is still probably in his ‘honeymoon period’ with them.

He is a very experienced manager, but what would have been the reaction from our fans if we had appointed him?

Cardiff fans first reaction, sound familiar? ;)

Last job only lasted a couple of months lol

f**k sake. Another opportunity wasted by the club. **************** appointment if true. He will do a better job than Harris but Nothing will change long term.

If this is anything other than a short term deal to the end of the season I’ll be so disappointed. Another appointment without much thought

Maybe until end of season only and they have their eye on another ?

Even if it is a short term deal, he will keep us up and he'll be be given a 2 year contract next season. Shocking appointment. No long term plan by the club. The sooner the board f**k off the better.

Looking at these suggested line ups... my worry is Pearson and Lerma are identical players...

Against Forest, both were literally sat on the toes of the CBs for most of the second half... With an enormous gap in the middle of the park, occupied by no one in a Bournemouth shirt...

We moaned about a 6 man midfield against QPR... Playing these two together might result in a back 6, or worse a back 7...

Stanislas has played WB and RB previously. He is a senior pro who should be switched on to his job for the team.

Good teams defend from the front.

Over on the right yes....if it was easy for a right footed player to play as a LWB then we wouldn't have had a problem this season would we?.....just play Adam Smith or Jack Stacey on the left and they'll be just as effective as they are on the right iyo.

There are advantages to playing wingers as Wing Backs but you'll be amazed to hear that there are aso disadvantages .....have a guess at what they are.

End of last season at Man City I think I do remember . His delivery in open play is the best in the team. He is our most creative player this season , therefore need him to carry on doing that.
