AFC Bournemouth v Queens Park Rangers

Intense end to the match, would have been a lot more comfy you feel had Billing scored not smashed the post. Good job Travers is an excellent shot stopper and got one bit of luck missing the ball and it hitting a QPR player and dropping into his hands, but 5ish decent saves. Ref seemed to like giving us yellow cards and not QPR, Willock was it could easily have been off for attempting to kick Smith and Smith got booked for a perfectly good challenge. Good win, QPR are decent going forward, lucky we are too!

Good 3 points.

Solanke deserves an assist for that first goal.

You need your keeper to win you points sometimes. Travers did that tonight.

Would have been game over if the Billing effort had gone in.

Lots to like out there, but also signs we won't have it all our own way this season even now we have a squad that isn't injury hit.

Well played: Billing, Zemura (much better second half defensively), Travers

Room to improve: Nobody was poor. Occasional shaky moments from individuals but they also all had lots of positives.
Disagree - Keith Stroud was poor ;):utc:

Hilarious that the QPR fan came in here earlier saying that Stroud would be against them, they got the benefit from him today.

Well done to the boys, some great goals, shot stopping, and determination on display today. There won't be many onslaughts as rough as the last 20 minutes today and they stood up to it.

Yes, a very nice team win, with everyone contributing. Exciting few minutes at the end, and Travers might have had his "maturation day", making some really good stops when we needed him.

First half shows some real promise of things to come .... very confident. Worked as a unit, one player then another pressing, good passing to open up play.

Liked that a lot.

Would've been a totally different final 15 if Billing scored, but good to see the commitment at the end.

Zemura and Anthony immense again. Back 4 did well and Travers made some good stops, although ones you expect a good keeper to save. Still a bit flappy on corners though.

Christie showed glimpses of class - needs a run of games now and think he will be a huge player for us.

All in all a great win and showed a totally different side of us to Saturday.

Ref was a joke - looked out of his depth.

Deserved. But rode our luck . Their 1st substitution saw a goal v soon after and they were rejuvenated. We made defensive subs and seemed to surrender ground.

Like Blackpool, totally in control and then cede control.

That said, v happy with the performance overall. Commitment. Passion. Belief. No weak link. Played for each other.

Ref made some strange decisions.

Top of the league.
Enjoy that Al?

Hahahaha. Warburton complaining about the ref.

The cheek of it after that 'free kick every time an AFCB player goes within two metres of a QPR player' performance from Stroud. With mystery AFCB yellow cards thrown in for good measure. But no red for the incident that was an undeniable one, as it was a QPR player.
