Imagine now similar Father /Daughter watching Europa League qualifier in certain parts of Europe. Only difference, is the youngster asks "Dad, why are they throwing bananas on to the pitch".

Thankfully people can acknowledge that's not right and denounce it, but everything else seems fair game again.

We don't need to agree where all the lines of sensibilities are, but I would like to think we are teaching the next generation to be better than us, and that no-one wants football grounds to be some haven where people can behave however they please because that's how it used to be.
