Afcb players contracts

Steve Cook and Adam Smith are potentially problematic there. If they have decent season's but we don't go up that's two more we'd probably need to replace next summer with no money coming in.

I’d much rather our older and those less guaranteed to start players be closer to the end of their contracts than our younger stars like Stacey, Kelly and Mepham
 
True but not all young players will come good. Having a few you can expect to perform as they've already proven it is invaluable. That mix is the key. We don't want heads getting turned in January just because we're midtable. There are numerous examples of late runs into the play offs.

Been wondering the same actually, saw a cryptic instagram post before which made me ponder if there’s a move agreed and we aren’t playing him to ensure he doesn’t get injured and scupper the deal. Hope I was just reading too much into it, he’s a match winner on his day as shown several times earlier in the season.
 
Its more a case of what Dan 'wants' !

Yeah he is good, excellent...when he plays...I'm not sure what to trust any more about ' injuries '....

Wow, we really must have offered him a retirement contract to come here ! I was surprised when he chose to come here at the time tbh but one last long term contract on big wages with the opportunity to play more games probably convinced him. If he continues as he has done so far this season and helps us return to the PL then you'd have to say that his contract was worth the financial pain in the end. Fingers crossed it works out that way !
