Sounds like a 13 year old.

Whenever a ball goes near the stand before the game the ball boys or coaching staff seem pretty hot on getting it back. Like to see how he could prove it’s genuine.

This reminds me of the apocryphal tale, of the man who made fake wine-labels and stuck them on bottles of plonk. Said labels were for expensive 'investment wine' which of course is never drunk.

Reminds me of "Tickle" Jenkins, an "ol' bumpkin" from the New Forest. Back in the early '80s he would turn up in Lymington's club house with some cauliflowers. He would give them away and say " just get us a pint, when you can". This went on for most of the season, until he forgot to take the price off. Turns out he was buying them for 50p, giving them away and getting a "free" £1 pint : )
