Andoni Iraola

Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva and Xabi Alonso are among the managers Chelsea are discussing as potential replacements for Liam Rosenior this summer.

Chelsea believe there will be a bigger pool of high-calibre managers available this summer than there were last time they appointed a manager between seasons.

AI has been nominated for Manager of the Month
No doubt Brighton's Hurzelep or City's Pep will win it.

Don’t want manager of the month award nonsense to be derailing an end of season push to get Europe!

It will be underwhelming too see him go to Palace or Fulham? However they are boy London clubs and that may be an attraction?
I can't see Man United not continuing with Carrick who has done well to turn the team around.
Chelsea are a basket case and don't think that he would want that sort of shooting from the hip ownership?
I don't think that Slot will be fired at Liverpool.
Newcastle could be an outside chance, but again Eddie has something in the bank to give him probably another season?
It looks like Arteta will win The PL to become an Arsenal hero, so he will be safe.
Pep is an interesting call? He could decide to go if he feels City have to face some sort of points penalty deduction next season (fat chance though tbh) But I don't think that they would go for Andoni?

Not much going on elsewhere in The PL unless something happens out of the blue?

Andoni may be forced to compromise his next job opportunity and not aim so high?

Wonder if he’s regretting his decision?

Palace fans were still hoping at the weekend that he'll take over there next season. Somehow I'd find that really deflating. Sure, not our problem anymore but feels like he's done enough here to get a better job than that.
Yeah, it suddenly seems a bit odd. Palace could still get a European spot, I suppose, but does his decision to leave reflect a lack of confidence that we could get top 6/7?
Senesi is another one that needs to think hard about what's next for him.

I think Senesi will be receiving a few good offers from the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, and Spurs (if they stay up) not sure we will be able to compete with his wage demands, especially with new financial restraints being placed upon us to operate with more prudence to avoid a points deduction and fine?

Im certain he wont be. If it was that in the balance, he'd have likely remained undecided a bit longer.

Regardless, he's clearly an intelligent bloke, who'd have spent a lot of time thinking about all the possibilities.

He wont regret a thing, as its a calculated, informed choice, rather than impulsive.

Plus this latest run will only have strengthened his hand imo.

Unless he got told to sh*t or get off the pot by the club, which I suspect he did.

They reckon Maresca nailed on for City:

Palace wouldn’t surprise me as much as it seems to surprise some. It’s an underdog which he likes, but bigger. Also got stadium plans like us. Easy links back to Bilbao. All he’s ever said is he wants a new challenge, he didn’t mention going home or wanting something bigger.

The rumours have been swirling since December as they also have about Senesi going there which may not be coincidental

You’d have thought that if there was anything in that particular link, the Palace players might have wanted to impress their new boss?

If he was that bothered about easy links back to Bilbao he may as well have gone to Luton or Pompey. :grinning:

Of course he's not moving to ge closer to Gatwick Airport. Only someone trying their absolute best to defend the indefensible would come up with that nonsense.

There's no two ways about it, if he ends up at Palace it's a complete joke.
He's not allowed to go to Palace?
