Chris Mepham

Refreshing to see sensible and constructive comments from another club’s fan-site for a change. Positive comments about Eddie as well.

According to one poster, Brentford turned down a higher bid from another club.

Checked out North Stand Chat to see if they had lost their marbles yet, nothing so far...http://www.northstandchat.com/showt...is-Callum-Wilson-worth/page4&highlight=mepham

However they've got a WHOLE THREAD on how much Wilson is worth. Some are adamant he's worth 20/25 million, that would be their best player is worth about 15!

On a side note, Ake to go into midfield for 2 games when Lerma gets his inevitable ban?

Except this one, maybe....

"Well pleased with this. Smaller club than us but at least Premier for time being. Well done all concerned and good luck to the lad. "

:ROFLMAO:

Then I think this sums it up nicely.

“Good luck to him. Bournemouth is exactly the right club for him in terms of profile, style of play and excellant head coach. He's someone who's career everyone will keep an eye on.”

History suggests us and Brentford are about as similar clubs as you could possibly wish to find. 110 games between the two clubs, almost identically even record of wins/loses/draws, going back as far as the 1920s, sharing a division far more often than not. Of all the clubs to conduct peeing contests between, us and Brentford is rather pointless.

How does that even work?
If a club (say Villa) offered more money, the player can always tell his club he won't go there, can't he?
Seems that since all 3 parties (buying club, selling club, the player) have to agree, the player could scupper a potentially more lucrative (for the selling club) deal in favour of his preferred destination.
Right?
