They are back I saw my first large Starling flock today

Saw my first Swallow yesterday....bit late this year.

I haven't ever seen a large murmuration like that. Starlings are attractive bird close up with all sorts of colours.

We have the grand total of 3 swallows; no idea where the rest of them have gone.

We normally have dozens nesting in our barns etc.

Talking of birds,we had a parrot that could mimic any other bird.It was that good,that when it went,we cooked it,and it tasted just like chicken

This is not good news.

Was only on inner Farne island last month, the skipper on our boat did point out a sick bird, he mentioned not usually seen on the islands.
