Commitment - a willingness to give your time and energy to something that you believe in, or a promise or firm decision to do something
I think it takes very little time or energy for the back office to allocate a budget to EH's team to acquire playing staff. I doubt much time and energy has been put into making the back office as lean as it could be in order to increase the budget.
I also think the same back office
promised or gave us a
firm decision for training grounds and stadium. With, by all accounts, very little evidence of time and energy dedicated to it culminating in a very weak, wishy-washy, late cop out.
When it comes to "investment" in the squad. I think it's as simple as we've had stable on-field management for years whereas other clubs haven't. Established clubs' budgets are filled with wages and sacked managers' payoffs, new clubs have spent 100's of millions in the last season or so already.
