2 in midfield still didn't work despite a very good game by Lewis Cook and both wingers scored.

Can't find the prize money for this season, but last year the winners of the EFL Cup won 100K.

Forget the cash, it's never going to have a significance when put against PL money. I think the real reward is a place in the Europa League for the winners.

To a club like us, that would be an adventure maybe never to be repeated. A long way to go yet and the draw will be stuffed with some of the top teams in the country. Hopefully they thin each other out and we get a kind one!

 
Getting into the latter stages is a great way to grow the status of the club, attract new support, players, sponsorship, you name it. Even if it's the silly league cup, once you get to Quarters or certainly Semis if we could manage it, it's still news around the footballing world.

 
I still have no idea who or what Carabao is or does, and I have no intention of Googling to find out.

They are the modern equivalent of Hafnia to me.
 
It's an energy drink. Think red bull but pooe and your there. They also sponsor Chelsea and Reading amongst all sorts of other things. They are also the reason the televised cup draws this year have been a joke
 
...the significance of a good cup run is still a real positive for a club our size, and I would love us to progress and do well in it...just hoping for Bristol City in the next round!
 
Energy drinks - pah Red Bull for us oldies, Monster and Rockstar for the yoof, and KX for the impecunious. ‘Nuff said.
