Championship rival updates

Cardiff had a decent GD pre this game but +17 now dipped to +12 which is a plus. IF we win our game in hand Cardiff ten points behind and would need 11 to overtake us given our GD

I really really hope to be welcoming you to a premier league fixture at Vic Rd next season, even if you do bang on about that title win. Getting relegated during a pandemic was harsh on us all. If the 3 teams go back up it will almost be like it never happened. Aside from Dirty Leeds will be there.

I hate the idea of meeting you in the playoffs.
Think afcb and Watford were on course to stay up pre lockdown last season.

Bubble of new manager burst at Cardiff and Bristol City?
Re Cardiff, funny how often a caretaker manager does well and then form dips after signing a permanent deal

not sure Pearson ever gave Bristol much of a new manager bounce at home. Got some decent away results but must be a bit underwhelmed with progress. Looks like we might have done well not to go for him

I don't know guys, watford may be in a good position now, but remember they do tend to choke....

:D

But seriously, Brentford have two games in hand and play watford, 10 points ahead could be 1 point ahead with 1 game left

I think Brentford have to win both games in hand best us and get 2 more points than we do in the other 4 games. I think you will promote us when you beat them.

Funny, Swansea struggling without being awarded dubious penalties every week
If they hadn't had those ridiculous two pens in injury time the other week, we would be level with them now.

From what I have seen, always thought they would get found out, and are definitely the team I want in the play offs. Problem is they might not make them!

Watford has a very tough run of games left, incl. Swansea, Brentford, Reading and Norwich. But their lead is substantial, I think they will make it to top 2.

Brentford has Cardiff, Watford and us.

Swansea has Reading and Watford.

Reading has Watford, Swansea, Cardiff and Norwich.

Barnsley has Boro and Norwich (game 46, they should be less motivated by then).

We have Norwich and Brentford.

Looks like a fun 4 weeks coming up. If we can take six points from Coventry and Hudds, I really like our chances. We can still afford a loss or two, as long we offset them with wins, not a handful of draws.

tough games for Watford and their record against top clubs is poor but they seem to be grinding out wins which is a good habit. Hard to beat too so think Brentford will do well to beat them tbh

My thinking is that Watford and Norwich are up, so far ahead.
We've a decent set of teams to play against other than Norwich and Brentford.

Psychologically, it would be good to get a decent result against Brentford as we might be playing them again in the play offs.

Can't see Brentford being consistent enough to catch Watford. The top 2 are set and good luck to them. We should be up there with them, but its our own fault, and now it's up to us.
We are up there due to the home for really.

But our away form has probably generally has been patchy albeit been better in recent weeks although today was a patchy performance but even then had more chances.
