Championship

Would have been better if it had denied them promotion but still highly enjoyable. Well done Villa! :hihi:

Just a thought - Ritchie has now won two Championship titles in the dying minutes of the final game of the season. What luck the guy has lol.

So the future European Champions couldn't even win the Championship.

Perhaps Brighton didn't want the Championship Cup at their stadium to be reminded that the name of AFC Bournemouth is already on the past-winners plaque.

This is awkward...

Brighton blew it in the last 3 games getting 1 point out of a possible 9.

Newcastle took all 9 points in their 3 games.

Oh dear.

Shades of the disconsolate Watford groundstaff sat next to a redundant "Watford Champions 2014/15" frame covered up and left at the side of the stand...

Choking on the last day of the season - Priceless

Mick McCarthy joined Ipswich in November 2012 and in his first season they finished 14th.

Then they gradually moved up each following season until 2014-15 they finished in 6th place.

The following season 2015-16 they finished 7th and this season their lowest place since McCarthy joined them in 16th.

How long do you think their owners will play Cinderella to Norwich before there is a change in manager?

Found this reply in a thread on NSC if their manager was to blame for missing out finishing top.

Bit OTT last third para?

It's Hughton's fault we've just had our highest finish in decades.
It's Hughton's fault we're going to have lions on our shirt sleeves next season.
It's Hughton's fault we've got one of the best home records in Europe this season.
