It was very interesting to listen to. I'm no fan of the guy and you have to take what he says with a pinch of salt but I thought he was fairly straight in his responses.

The unfortunate thing is that there was loads of fascinating stuff in there yet all we'll get in the papers is soap opera shots about personality clashes and the PMs girlfriend.
 
When under government control, as he was, he could lie through his teeth and be backed by the Prime Liar and his cronies. Now, free of Government pressure to lie to suit, it will be most interesting.

What an opportunity for the leader of the opposition to make Johnson squirm. What did we get? The prime minister being savaged by a dead sheep!
 
...politics in this country is marooned in a dessert of mediocrity...I can't name, or think of, a single MP who I think would be a good leader for us at the moment...most just seem like self centered, suit wearing, ego busting lemmings....we need another 'Thatch' :)

Thing is IF Boris is deposed we will end up with Gove the backstabber!

Leftie or Righti, doesn't really matter.

It's just gripping stuff the watch, you couldn't make it up.

No axe to grind with the government as to how it's done Covid, left or right would have made a hash of much of it, especially in the early days.

It's inevitable that dirt will come out from under the carpet and if there's a side effect of the Tories losing votes then so be it. :grinning:

Absolutely. Forget the political point scoring its absolutely fascinating. Genuinely like a disaster movie where whatever way they turned they would cause thousands of deaths and financial catastrophe.

I doubt there are many that disagree with him on this point.

Same goes for Americans who've just faced their second awful 50/50 choice in four years.

no no , I’m interested but I’m a political wonk just like everyone else on this thread , but you know the political talking heads and the usual suspects on here will be coming out with all “ the Tories have had it “ bo*locks when in reality most voters already know as you keep pointing out, the governments response was good and bad .
