Wouldn't surprise me if we couldn't assure him of being more than rotation option... ajd no doubt received a decent wage bump/signing on fee.

He doesn't start every game for Brentford, doesn't always play in his preferred position either. I think he just wanted to move to London.

Re those two Adli goals, yes they were important, but Dango has scored and assisted more than Adli this season as well as winning a silly number of penalties for Brentford. It is pretty obvious that we would have been better off on the pitch if he had stayed. If Dango ends up finishing higher than us in the table and we miss out on Europe then was it worth it? I hope that doesn’t happen but it is a possibility.

Half the price and still adapting to the Premier League so its not quite so obvious.
