Dean Court Redevelopment

I'm sure we could get every road within a mile radius (except Wessex Way) closed to non-resident traffic for three or four hours every game, but that just pushes the parking further out.
Unfortunately despite a reasonable transport system in the area, a lot of people won't use it and prefer to drive.
I still think.4 or 5 additional bus routes not covered by current transport options could be organised on a match day if fans would use them.
Driving is the only option for some of us unless we want to use multiple ways of transport. This just increases the cost of getting to the stadium. Although only living 12 miles from Poole the only bus I can catch takes 2 hours to do the journey, then it would be bus or train from Poole, followed by a walk. I could possibly catch the train from Wool or Wareham but id have to drive there and pay parking on top of the train fare on a line that can be unreliable and then walk. I'll stick to the car or, on nice days , the motorbike.

It’s only the same as what many do for a London away day. Bit of car, bit of train/tube/bus/boat…

Just throwing an example out there. Would you consider a train ticket from Wareham - Pokesdown return that is linked to your match ticket for a reduction in the fare?

If Bill cannot get people thro' the turnstiles to his bigger stadium, maybe he could have an AFCB lottery the 20,000 + followers in the BCP conurbation could pay a token amount and hope to win large? and the Revenue would increase, without having to build anymore seats!

Good to see a small section of the diverted cycle path underway - would be great to have that completed asap so that the south foundations can start as soon we get planning approval.

Indeed - although I’m half expecting to see some tweaks to the south stand structure before final approval - although I could be wrong.
If the Urban Design guy gets his way there will be - along with numerous other tweaks. He’s not a happy bunny. See his comments on the Consultee section of the planning application. Seems our whinging neighbours have drawn a blank over lost light etc - according to the recent report. So some good news on that at least.

What's the issue with the south stand design?

Did you read the email trail with the BCP ecologist re floodlights? I’d lose the plot with someone like that.

I agreed with the feedback from the noise consultee re enclosing the corner roof gables - we didn’t push back on that in our rebuttal letter, so hopeful that may make its way into the design pre approval. Keep that noise in the ground!

I haven’t seen any revised plans to make use of the available space beneath the south lower tier now that it’s no longer a scaffold system - so expecting to see some updated south stand drawings pre approval.
