Dean Court Redevelopment

So how might the political changes affect the stadium?

I don't think Town Councils have many powers that will be relevant other than being consulted on local planning applications. Not sure anyone will want to piss off potential voters by getting in the way of this one though. Nothing to be gained politically.

Going back to the rear wall of the South Stand, the Urban Planner suggested something along these lines:

I don’t mind that at all - and I take the point about breaking up the mass of the building. It’s hardly a big deal - if the Club wants a quick yes I’d paint it emerald green and paint a sky and cloud mural at the top if the Council suggested it. The Stadium is about the inside for fans - that can be red. black and sky blue pink if that’s the way we roll.

I was trying to think of a precedent of expanding a stand in a similar setting.

The closest I could think of was the south stand at Ashton Gate.

The Bristol City South stand has a similar height to our new north and east stands - and importantly theirs appears to go maybe 1-2m closer to the neighbouring properties (or let’s say the same distance if my scaling is slightly out).

Precedent + light survey + 3rd party professional view hopefully means approval.
That pile of rubbish in the corner grew over the years.

I’m commenting on the Dean Court Redevelopment thread, which is a football stadium.

Now go and find someone else to have a mundane argument with.

That big blank wall, couldn't the club do some sort of "muriel" on it. A crowd scene featuring, players, managers, owners past and present. Work in some club characters like Nonny, Mick Cunningham, Gordon, Al Gard etc : )
