Dean Court Redevelopment

I think you mean East & North stands.

There are some plans giving capacities for various sections. The capacity of the SE corner - nearly built - is 385. The corner between the Ted Mac and Main stand is 354. So the SW corner is a bit smaller but not much.

Both will also have an adjacent sliver of 125 seats between them and the lower tier of the South Stand. Moot point as to whether those are corner or South Stand seats.

The Northern corners, including the entire quadrants this time, will hold 467 (NE) & 450 (NW).

The plans do say these are provisional numbers, the final total may be slightly different.
The slivers are part of the South Stand Structure - as Adam Ant would say ‘Stand and de sliver’. I take it my hat and coat are waiting for me by the rear door ?

I think they’ll have to operate pitch side. and access via the SW corner.
The build strategy for the north and east extensions really interests me.

I don’t see a viable option to build up and over the insitu roofs - as per the south.

So it’ll be very interesting to see when they take the plunge and take the roofs down. With the hope of good spring/summer weather, perhaps towards the end of next season, ready to hit the ground running for the new frame as soon as the season’s over. That would of course require foundation works to be carried out during the season.

I think it’s touch and go whether they’d get a suitably sized crane behind the north and parts of the east. There would be options, but it would be fiddly and not particularly efficient.

I think it’ll all be about speed and ability to get multiple cranes working on multiple fronts - so I agree that working pitch side gives them the flexibility to do so. Drone footage that summer will be a great watch (if that is the plan!).

Even doing the foundations is going to be tricky during the season. Unless everyone is funneled in and out via the main stand / SE corner.
I think it would be ok. A far less congested grid configuration to what we’ve seen on the corners. Small work areas one at a time in between games.

More Stadium pics. What IS going on behind the 'Ted Shed'?

A bakers dozen photos for you!

One lonesome cladding panel installed on the SE corner - but it’s a start - the Turnstile cladding 90% done and almost ready for the actual turnstiles to be installed.

The SS rear area levelling up almost done. You’ll see there’s no actual path behind the SS at the moment and a straight drop of about 18 inches.

The shops fresh coat of paint is finished and all the major roof steels for the NW corner are done.

I’ve shown the smaller remaining steels in a couple of the shots for reference. Oh and they’ve removed the safety netting and about half of the scaffolding in the SE corner as seen in another couple of shots.
