Eli Junior Kroupi

The kid just scores goals. I’m glad we’ve persisted with Evanilson and Kroupi. It always had potential and in a parallel universe somewhere where football is played like it’s supposed to be, both would have been on the scoresheet to claim 3 well deserved points.

Instead, the closest thing to have almost cracked a smile from me this evening was this post…

This is the same club famous, or rather infamous, for making derisory offers for players for the sake of it.

He really shouldn’t be moving on so soon, from either his or our perspective.
Agree. His all round play is far from developed. He can’t dislodge a player who offers a lot apart from goals this season, despite being a natural goalscorer.

He is getting better week by week in the non scoring elements of his game but would be found out at the moment at elite level. He will reach that level in next two years I’m sure.

Yeah.

I think ffp helps us here. I cant see an elite club paying 60 mill plus for someone who wasnt really a regular starter until recently.

Too much of an outlay and chunk of budget for someone thats perhaps not ready to lead line for elite level yet. That kind of money is spent on players ready to make impact each week ahd help challenge for cl and league title.

I think theyll want to see another years evidence and development from him. Which will also help us, as if he gets 15 plus will maybe move him into 80 mill minimum range imo.

Assuming he doesnt have release clause. Which i reckon he likely does... around 60 to 65 mill being likely. Wouldn't surprise me to see new deal signed this summer... wage bump, and revised release clause fee/terms.

We're unlikely to keep him for more than another season or 2 though. Proper talent.

He might get better coaching by moving away. Certainly more money!

If he goes then good luck to him

Haven’t you heard of Chelsea they love to spunk
big money on unproven young players with potential

Biased obviously... but if we're getting a manager who plays two up top then continuing his development here will be sound advice. Be that in a withdrawn or up top role. The bright lights and big offers won't be going anywhere.

His per ninety stats when compared to other attackers. He is as good as they come when it comes to finishing but offers very little else. You can see what Iraola meant when he spoke about struggling to get him into the team.

I always find it funny that our players aren’t good enough for the top national teams, but good enough for the top club teams. And then all of a sudden they’re good enough for the national teams!
Let's face it, at the associations expense, the national team managers go on jolly's to the biggest and best stadiums in the world to watch their national team prospects. I'm sure Deschamps prefers a visit to the San Siro, the Bernabeu and the Allianz Arena than to little old dean court :)

I don’t think that’s true. Rayan just got a Brazil call up. Huijsen played for Spain while playing for us. You don’t get much bigger on the international stage than those two Nations! Kluivert also regularly gets Holland call ups, Senesi recently started for the current World Cup holders.

The only case in which this is true seems to be for the English national team, Solanke couldn’t even get a call up after a 19 goal season and was overlooked for Toney who had 4 in comparison. Then the moment he leaves us he gets a call up despite never even coming close to hitting those levels again! Scott clearly deserved a call up to the last squad as well.

It seems to be that England are the only national side who have some kind of bias against us. For this reason I will find it difficult to root for them in the upcoming World Cup. I might just root for the Scots due to two of our players likely being involved for them!

Fair points!

You'ld rather see England fail in the Worlď Cup because the Engand manager didn't pick an AFCB player, than to see Ènģlànď win the World Cup?
Jeez, unbelievable!
