Eli Junior Kroupi

I don’t think that’s true. Rayan just got a Brazil call up. Huijsen played for Spain while playing for us. You don’t get much bigger on the international stage than those two Nations! Kluivert also regularly gets Holland call ups, Senesi recently started for the current World Cup holders.

The only case in which this is true seems to be for the English national team, Solanke couldn’t even get a call up after a 19 goal season and was overlooked for Toney who had 4 in comparison. Then the moment he leaves us he gets a call up despite never even coming close to hitting those levels again! Scott clearly deserved a call up to the last squad as well.

It seems to be that England are the only national side who have some kind of bias against us. For this reason I will find it difficult to root for them in the upcoming World Cup. I might just root for the Scots due to two of our players likely being involved for them!

You'ld rather see England fail in the Worlď Cup because the Engand manager didn't pick an AFCB player, than to see Ènģlànď win the World Cup?
Jeez, unbelievable!

That’s odd. Root for the Jocks?
What if they don’t pick Christie and Gannon Doak?
So if our new manager leaves out a couple of your favourite players, I presume you’ll be rooting for the saints.

I think we're beginning to see/experience how and why there's a stereotype around good % of established pl club fans not being interested in the national team, versus lower league club fans...

Albeit slightly different dynamics and reasons at times compared to elite clubs fans. It still often comes down to national team actions and politics conflicting with clubs... and when there is conflict, invariably boils to club over country for many fans imo

If they are wearing cherries colours then I will be rooting for them. It’s not about favourites, any cherries player is a favourite!
They will get picked in the squad, even if they don’t play then at least they’ve not been completely omitted purely due to the fact that they play for us! I’m sorry, but the way that our club is viewed by the national team set up has caused me to feel a degree of resentment towards them, to the point that I will find it amusing when they inevitably crash out at the quarter final stage the moment that they face a half decent outfit!

Yes, is it really that unbelievable? I don’t really know why, but I’ve never really felt any kind of attachment towards the national side, the way that our club is viewed has turned that feeling from indifference to one of resentment. I know that I’m not alone in this either, particularly with the younger generations (in which I am not a part of.)

You really think Tommy Tuchal gives a toss one way or another about AFCB? There's no way he's biased against the club it won't even enter his mind.

If only all bias was conscious! Life is full of unconscious bias, we are all guilty of it. You will never convince me that Toney deserved to go to the last tournament ahead of Dom, and yet the moment he signs for Spurs he gets into almost every squad despite never coming close to the level that he was at here. How do you explain that?

That wasn't Tuchel but either way you people are mad if you think he's unconsciously favouring Brentford over AFCB - what possible explanation coyld there be for that?

Despite his purple patch Dom Solanke isn't good enough for England. It's not a reward system for doing well in the league it's a team picked for doing well themselves.

The Defoe comparisons are incredibly disrespectful to Kroupi. As good as Defoe was, he should be getting compared to the likes of Henry and Rooney.
The speed of Henry....the technique of Rooney...the finishing of Defoe......he's definitely winning the Ballon D'or ....

He has a good chance of breaking that record, let’s hope he does in the next three games.

Kroupi stepped up to the penalty spot and fired with his right foot into the right corner of the goal. This goal meant that no teenager has ever scored more goals in their debut Premier League season. The teenager now sits on 12 goals, level with Premier League icons Robbie Fowler and Robbie Keane, who achieved that number in 1999/00 and 1993/94 respectively.
